it will take a yr or so but it will eventually. you could buy a playstation and play it and all the amazing current and upcoming games though. cant wait to play this, its already preloaded. next yr will be insane for ps5. spiderman 2, FF7 reunion, FF16, last of us online, hogwarts legacy and the unholy trinity of dead space, RE4, and silent hill 2 remakes. 2023 is looking fire. :-)

so now 2 gaming authorities have pushed it to 2nd phase. its not going to go through without concessions from MS. especially with the news the new COD game has sold 71% of their copues on playstation. MS wants this deal to go through they are going to have to put it in writing it will remain day and date on PS permanently.

1216d ago 12 agree2 disagreeView comment

if that is what they are going to do they would have put in writing, but they didn't so that isnt their long term plans with COD.

1216d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

the only reason the deal for Minecraft went through is mojang stipulated it must be remain multiplatiform or they wouldnt agree to the deal.
MS is trying to get their gamepass numbers to explode, making it MS exclusive would do just that. if they intended to keep it multiplatform, they would have made the language of it staying multiplatform crystal clear in the aquisition deal. MS is a 2 trillion dollar company they arent afraid to take a risk of losing some of the fan base.

they are being vague because they dont want to honor that. it may be the ony thing that gets this deal to the finish line though. the cma is right to question this deal, especially seeing the 71% of sales of the new cod game came from playstation. think they are going to have to put it in writing considering the BS the pulled with the zenimax deal

why would they release their 1st party games on a direct rivals console? i see this comment all the time, they would be eliminating the need for a playstation, not good business sense. if people want to play 1st party games they will need to buy a playstation or wait a yr or so and hope the game makes it to pc.

yep games are what matters, not gimmicks, not subscriptions.

1220d ago 6 agree1 disagreeView comment

lol now thats some next level trolling. so let me get this straight, phil made comments that eluded to the prices of services, consoles and games on xbox would be going up and xbox MASSSIVELY underperformed in the gamepass subscription goal for this yr and sony is the one in trouble. gtfoh. lol.

sony has managed to outsell xbox over the last 2 years even though their console has been virtually unattainable to its consumers while xbox series s had been sitting on shelves...

yep been saying this for months now. if they dont manage to vastly improve their gamepass numbers, they are screwed. that is why the activision deal is so crucial to them. they have nothing to pivot to, its been gamepass, gamepass, gamepass with them.

1220d ago 23 agree5 disagreeView comment

@orchard. that is revenue, not profit. after you factor in all the money they have to shell out to get 3rd party agreements, pay all of internal studios staff for making the games, marketing and factor in all the money they lost by putting things on day 1 game pass, they will be very fortunate to turn a small profit. plus if they do manage to aquire activision, it will probably take them close to decade to recoup that 70 billion dollars.

1222d ago 21 agree5 disagreeView comment

lmao all the people who bagged on sony are going to look like fools. even a 2 trillion dollar company is going to have to raise their prices. you will see an increase in console prices, game prices and subsciption prices, the hat trick. im sure there will be crickets from many xbots when this happens, conveniently forgetting how they predicted the end of sony for increasing its price on the ps5.

1222d ago 37 agree4 disagreeView comment

short term its a great deal for xbox fans, long term it is definitely not good for the gaming industry. their quality of games has been very suspect, it will conitine to decline with gamepass. you will see less and less AAA games for xbox, more AA and indie games. its already had a terrible effect with every time a new game comes out, all the xbots are whining and begging for it to come to gamepass. xbox has put all of their eggs into gamepass basket. they better hope like hell it grow...

you mean how MS paid 100 million dollars to make rise of the tomb raider exclusive for a yr?
or how about going back to MS buying exclusivuty of bioshock and mass effect. or paying millions of dollars to lock the 2 gta 4 dlcs for a year. or how about the medium or more recently scorn. point is both companies do it, the difference so far sony hasnt bought up a massive publisher and locked out its games forever. personally i dont like any of bethesdas games or activisions either, b...

@fallen. silent hill was successfull because of playstation. doesnt even matter about the twinkie comment. point is it was successful before xbox was ever sold, it will continue to be successfull even if its a timed exclusive. there are many 3rd party games that are associated with sony. doesnt seem to be hurting FF one bit. not to mention the fact a large percentage of xbots would be just whining it not on gamepass anyways.

1225d ago 3 agree1 disagreeView comment

yah the salt is real with these xbots. dont worry scorn will come to PS eventually, i am definitely not inetested in it though. looks like a complete snoozefest.

1229d ago 7 agree0 disagreeView comment

not sonys fault MS is too lazy to do timed exclusive deals like this. they are too busy trying to buy entire publishers and make all their games exclusive to xbox. guess that is what happens when your internal studios are as inept as MS studios are. why would konami or any other studio do timed exclusives if they are getting offers from sony? sonys has the lead in install base and their custoners actually buy games instead of begging for "free" games on gamepass.

1229d ago 7 agree0 disagreeView comment

@mika. thats BS. sony is partnering with 3 brand new studios alone (deviation games, firewalk and ballistic moon) and they aquired a 4th one already (haven) last yr they partnered with ember labs for kena. MS is just plain lazy, its that simple. they think they can just buy their way to the top. i wouldnt be suprised if all of these new partnerships turn into new internal studios for sony, that is usally how they grow their studios.

1229d ago 5 agree1 disagreeView comment

wow, MS is the one sounding DESPERATE now. lol trying to compare the aquisitions of haven(who have yet to even release a game) and bungie( who remain independent and will continue to release multiplatform games) with the AB deal is absolutely hysterical. do they think the CMA and gamers all over the world are that stupid? things sound like they could be unraveling quickly on this deal. MS may have to make some concessions to get this deal to go through

im going 95. :-)

1231d ago 5 agree3 disagreeView comment

lmao trust me most of us platstation fans dont want this game. we certainly wouldnt claim its game of the yr material. playstation actually has studios that put out game of the yr type games on the regular. in fact one of them is releasing in less tyan a month. ;-)
