I'm a core player, kz2 is my favourite ps3 shooter but I still think more responsive is a good thing. The controls will not be CoD like, you can tell that from the previews. Even though I enjoyed them, the controls were so heavy it was just unrealistic. You should be happy they are tweaking them making the game more accessible whilst remaining true to the core players.
who says it's getting more sales than alan wake? A lot of games top the charts on release week then fall away.
lol, i hope you're not serious...
% who are white? wtf is that all about
I always thought this guy looked like a paedo...
I used to always play invert precisely because of Goldeneye and Timesplitters2. I guess because most games don't use this as default I just got used to the change and now play non-inverted.
Consoles could easily go DD because the games would be tied to your psn account. When the next console comes out those games will still be there. Although file size is high they are not so high that it would be a problem to prevent the adoption.
I do however agree with TABSF in that retailers may have something to say about this. They wouldn't survive if DD took over.
Digital distribution is the next step so the ps3 will most likely be a hybrid of blu-ray, perhaps an improved version of it that is still compatible with current blu-ray but for higher storage capacity for games, and DD. It would be too soon to force another format on the market when a lot of people are still using DVD. PC is already at the DD phase.
according to wikipedia the original tomb raider was released on the saturn and PC before the ps1. But regardless, maybe this Laura you speak of is a slut for all i know.
it's actually quite feasible, we have only really had 2 3D MGS games with solid snake as the main protagonist.
The only problem I see is that if you look at some of the level design in MGS1, it has clearly been taken from some of the ideas in MG and MG2(the staircase scene immediately springs to mind). A remake would probably have to change things up a bit which i don't like.
-_-
Thankfully Valve stepped up to the plate where Microsoft didn't. Without Valve god knows where PC gaming would be today.
I keep trying to tell myself that there is no bias, they have no reason for a bias against the playstation3, but their reviews just don't make any sense and just don't add up. A supposedly harsh website giving a game that has scored consistantly around 7/10 an 8/10. Endless instances of this if you look up their reviews for 360 v ps3 games. They did give lbp a 10/10, but perhaps that was yet another bias, a british dev bias. Ridiculous to think that they actually consider Crackdown 2 ...
ye but the combat system in civ4 is worse than every other strategy game out there. That alone is enough to call it overrated.
p.s. portal 2 is not overrated
it had better be mass effect 2 :)
yeah, a lot of what pachter says is speculation then people quote him on it only to bring it up when it doesn't come true. I think it's interesting to speculate as long as you give reasons for it, which pachter does. He's smarter than what people give him credit for.
yeah today looks like a top sellers list from the special 1 day discounts. Good for anyone who missed a quality title on offer over the past week. I'm still in two minds over bioshock 2, I missed it the first time and it's tempting me again this secend time.
I agree with a lot of your points however, I don't believe it is because the games don't appeal to the consumer. The ps3 has the widest selection of top rated games that are critically aclaimed, to put simply, there is a ps3 exclusive out there for everyone.
The reason nintendo's games sell so much is because the names have been in the industry for over 20 years, that coupled with the family friendly appeal of the console means both the hardcore and the casual w...
not really flamebait, it's a perfectly legitimate question. One would have to say, yes, to sony it is absolutely a failure. For them it's all about turning a profit and the ps3 is now only just breaking even after several years on the market taking a loss. They got ahead of themselves and their competitors took advantage of the launch price.
From a gamers perspective it's a success, copious amounts of top rated exclusives, blu-ray player, free online, what more ...
1.9m is ok for a multiplatform game, could be better. Ps3 games used to get murdered by the press for selling this amount.
