I really liked it a lot as well except for the REALLY dumb AI (the really big guys). They would just stand there and take a beating, it got boring just killing a motionless standing enemy.
Seems like Insomniac had a bit more trouble with the 2 player co-op in R3, on hard the enemy was pretty dumb sometimes.
"Its decent but not GOTY material, not even nominee."
Come on man, it's not even out yet! I know the beta sucked but it's not finsished/released yet!!
I think if the reviews for the game are very solid from a lot of the big sites everyone will forgot how "meh" the beta was... but that reviews have to be good or else you'll be reading something along the lines of... "the beta should have been a good indicator that the game still needed time and here we are with the final build which even with a day 1 patch needs work..."
I pre-ordered and even though the beta disappointed me I have faith (and patience...
I actually found it to be a great read. Not everyone keeps up with ALL the console news/trends so this is a great little summary as of today what we know.
I'm ready for the next Playstation, would buy one today doesn't matter if it cost $500 or $600 I use mine so much I can easily justify it.
I like teamwork and vehicles in my multiplayer so it'll be B3 for me even though I hated the beta.
Like shooting through walls sort of stuff or what?
I agree with you minus this: "give gamers a taste of battlefield game play" No vehicles=not a true representation of a Battlefield game. It's such a game changer, play a level with no vehicles and then play one with vehicles and it's so much better with them!
I hated that flower trophy but it must have been funny for people to get it that actually did leave the games menu open for 10 minutes without touching the controller. Imagine the surprise, just hearing that trophy "ding" when you're doing something completely different.
Damn, wish this stuff was just in the game on release maybe I wouldn't have sold it after a month.
Agree 100% with everything you said mcstorm. You make some very valid points but some people just don't realize on this site it's okay to criticize something you like or love, doesn't mean you hate it... just means you're not blind.
Mirror's Edge yellow bag =p I read that article after.
Probably one of my favorite games of all time. People complained that the story was lacking but I actually thought it was the perfect game, story mode that is, I wasn't good at the time trials so I didn't really like that part =p
Please don't use the word fags, it's so childish.
What are you talking about?
I just wish I could play with my buddies in the Beta, we keep getting separated (PS3). We've gone back to playing Bad Company 2 as we hate playing with strangers=no communication=no teamwork.
Very well said, best argument for why I think the Beta has been extremely underwhelming. "You preach teamwork then put out a beta and we cant even squad up"
Everyone on my friends list is back to playing Bad Company 2, I saw a few people try it out and everyone hated it (for the bugs and the no vehicles).
Well these passes are definitely working in what they were intended for: killing the used game market. I was only able to get $30 for Resistance 3 a week after release, usually for a big title after only a week you get about 40-45. Retailers are catching on, they know they can't give you 40 and resell the game and make a profit.
I'm in the same boat, was waiting and waiting for the DLC to come, heard nothing about decided to trade it in while I could get something decent for it. Got $30 trade-in credit, not bad.
Wouldn't you say though that with only 1 month left before the game comes out the line between what you would call a beta vs. demo gets blurry?
I personally hate the whole topic of beta/demo... who cares I say, it's a month away I expect to be "pretty much done."
