Been playing PASBR to death on my Vita. Kicking ass with Kratos :D and would love me some Disgaea or Atelier characters!
Pretty sure I'm gonna import the U.S. mercenary edition of this game. Been looking forward to it for what feels like ages now :)
Happy to say i own and am in the process of playing through all those games! Such a shame when great games don't get the credit and sales they deserve.

Not sure what that had to do with sound being picked up from the mic :p
All I'm saying is the amount of sound from the Vita, or from the Wii u gamepad would be so minimal it wouldn't be picked up by the mic and hence wouldn't activate.
There needs to be a certain sound level reached in order for mics to be activated and that data transmitted to other players.
Like for example you are playing online on your ps3 / xbox / pc whatever...
Author of the article has overlooked the Vita.
Builr in mic? Check.
Works for game chat? Check.
Works perfectly fine? Check.
Competition breeds better games. The less options there is the worse off we will be.
He also mentioned it in the interview of why digital gaming prices don't go down. I always laugh at people who think 'oh wow i cant wait till everything goes digital games will cost a fraction of what they do now!'

I wouldn't be surprised to see a reverse cross play function in future. Like the old SNES had with Gameboy but purely wireless.
