Same exact scenario here.
I played it on Xbox One X and loved it, but those load times were the worst I've ever experienced. Right now you can buy the Gold Edition for 20 bucks on PSN, then get the upgrade.
I've been playing for a few hours now and it's very much worth it.
@bloop
It's a free upgrade.
If you own the game on PS4 and own a PS5, you can upgrade to the PS5 version at no cost.
Also, I've been playing it and it's great. Looks great and runs great.
It would be an extremely watered-down experience and totally fall short of Bluepoint's current masterpiece. I'm just hoping that more PS5s get to customers as soon as possible.
I just don't think that's Miyazaki's style.
I think that freshness and originality in gaming need to occur organically; that is to say we shouldn't pressure developers into taking a certain route in terms of design.
For example, Guerrilla didn't create their open-world HZD under duress, but on their own terms. They felt confident enough to test different waters, so they deviated from Killzone and here we are.

Just got the platinum yesterday as well.
What a brilliant little game.
Funny how "inclusivity" means people who think like them only.
Gotta love it.
I would say Pixar-ish with some really high quality materials and effects. To size it up as simply "cartoony" ignores the nuance and complexity of R&C RR.
Forza is probably going for photorealism at this point, but I think it's a bit silly to compare the two visually - two very different games with different aesthetic aims.
Just bought the Gold Edition for 20 bucks with the current PSN discount. Now I'm just waiting for that upgrade and I'm going to platinum that beast.
Fantastic!
I actually never expected A Plague Tale to be expanded upon further - very much looking forward to this. The first one was a great game.
The entire game is simply brilliant; everything about it impresses me. To be honest, I didn't expect Astro's Playroom to have such stiff competition in the haptics department this early on, but they're really great here.
Yes, indeed.
Best get to it, then.
All that trust raised by the Witcher series totally squandered. I was of the same mind; banking on their history.
"It's CDPR," I told myself, and "they're going to make a cyberpunk epic."
Hell, I'm cracking up as I type this.
I'm in Michigan and it's about the same. Nice and rounded. The older you get the less things like the weather bother you. I've actually learned to embrace it over the years and enjoy being outdoors in the winter.
There's woods behind my house and I wouldn't trade them for anything.
I'm exactly the opposite with the edges; I'll always test them if I'm not sure. I'll say after 35+ years experience playing games I've become quite good at calling deadly/safe boundaries.
"composter"
lol
@Giblet
I really loved dying Light; very much looking forward to the sequel. The parkour and combat and just the overall feel of the game really appealed to me. I loved the tone of it.
Hopefully they've expanded on that foundation along with the new.
The game is a smear.
Twitter is an absolute shit show at all times and shouldn't be consumed by anyone. It just may be the best illustration of societal decay I've ever seen.
Certainly looks pretty, but I can't comment past that.
We'll see.
