The main differences between Origins and Odyssey aside from the apparent themes is the combat.

Odyssey really ramped up the combat and made it more fun, though I enjoyed Egypt far more than I did Greece. Both were beautiful in their own ways, however.

"The only good scenario where I can think of cutting the heat sink size is that they did not have enough time to test the quality of the console prior to launch so they over engineered the heat sink to be safe."

This is a reasonable thought, though I'm glad I have the launch model that I have.

@KillBill

Of course it's not as good as it used to be; they reduced the size of the heatsink (the one they were sure they needed after copious testing) to cut costs. It's objectively worse - by exactly what margin I'm not sure.

@IRet

It's not the end of the world, but it's an objectively worse configuration. You have the same chipset with the same heat output with less of the heatsink they had originally. The reaso...

It's still garbage because they're not under any pressure to fix it.

Veterans clamoring for fixes on the Activision boards don't matter when newer generations can simply replace them. They're not going to spend resources fixing something when they can simply get away with it.

The only time things of this nature change are when compelling new proposals in the industry are put forward. Games not only need to compete with Call of Duty - they...

Proud platinum owner here. I'm up for a sequel.

Because as series veterans flee the staleness newer generations take their place. Then, they too flee the staleness and then another generation take their place. The cycle continues.

So long as CoD continues to be a solid, faced-paced shooter, people will keep playing it. It may be old but the formula is still appealing.

Until another MP breakthrough takes place these types of games will continue to reign.

Can anyone tell me if they enjoyed this game? What did you like/dislike? I've been thinking about getting it but just haven't been convinced to part with $24 over it.

How ridiculous.

So a fictional black character can represent everyone but a white guy can't?

LOL.

Lol.

Superb headline.

I've never liked a 343 Halo game. For me Halo peaked with Halo 2 which in my opinion had the perfect gun/grenade/melee formula with the BR/nades/and melee. Halo 3 was pure fun, though I thought the gun battles were just a smidge lesser than Halo 2's, probably due to the inclusion of other things.

So, Bungie all the way with Halo for me.

Glad I stopped enjoying Call of Duty years ago. That's one nutty file size. Way too much space.

I enjoyed this game and it was beautiful stylistically, but I'm not going to pretend that complaints of open-world checklist aren't valid - they are.

This game is similar to any recent AC game in many ways; meeting friendly AI and following them for a mission, stealthing around an encampment, completing this and that.

This is a great game if you like these types of games. If you like the AC games, chances are you'll enjoy Ghost of Tsushima a...

I'm starting to think that Remedy are considering Control to fill the role of 'sequel' to Alan Wake since they take place in the same universe. Though I do seem to remember hearing some of the folks at Remedy say that they'd love to make a sequel, so I'm not sure.

I'd love an actual Alan Wake 2, and a remake or remaster of Alan Wake. Bluepoint on a remake, anyone? I know I'd love it.

Because you didn't say PlayStation, where they game is being heavily marketed.

That's because Xbox One X is a pure resolution machine and it was brought to market to service those with new 4K TVs who were hungry to make use of them. XOX uses the extra GPU power for resolution exclusively, so this is no surprise.

When you add RT and many effects (you couldn't dream of having last gen) even the XSX and PS5 can't have their cake and eat it too.

RDR2 ran at native 4K on the Xbox One X, but I wouldn't expect it to have t...

Lol. Lighten up; the dude's just happy that it's getting upgraded. Everyone accepts that not everything can be free, but this one's free, and that's a good thing.

What a strange reply.

There's money to be had in fulfilling requests. They can still monetize the crap out of it.

Why do they keep making the opposite of what people tell them they want?

It's a nice shot.

The oculus/open roof area textures look straight out of that PS5 demo.
