@Punks
Plainly and simply a lesser community feature set than the PS4, yes.
They also removed these features from PS4, which imo saw much engagement.
PlayStation's community features are sorely lacking right now; this needs to be accompanied by the ability to write written reviews.
But, it's better than nothing.
Agreed.
Insomniac seem blessed with the unique ability to crank out fun, graphically impressive, well-polished games at pace.
That said, I'm really wondering what's going on with Wolverine, which was announced two years ago now.
The *loading screens* are an absolute turn-off. The *loading screens* are the difference between 'I want to play this right now' and 'ehhhh, I'm not in the mood.' If they were drastically reduced in occurrence or even just duration, the game would be so much more enticing and palatable.
Sony definitely have the talent to create not only viable but perhaps better alternatives to everything Microsoft now have. It *can* be done. They can put their top talent on an open-world RPG easily - western or Japanese style. They could make a new shooter. Sony *must* take bold steps like they've done in the past.
I like what they're doing, but they can't *just* offer third-person action games and remain competitive - not after what Microsoft has done.
What a bizarre thing to say.
That boss fight on Inferno. Absolutely no.
@TheEnigma
And about ten minutes to die.
The option is still there...
The DualSense's battery life is pretty lousy. Xbox's Charge and Play battery pack as well as any similar third party option absolutely destroy the DualSense's built-in solution.
I'd much rather have these options than have to replace the entire controller when it can no longer hold a decent charge.
All I care about in a controller is comfort and battery life.
Haptics and vibration I've seldom found compelling. I'll admit I enjoyed Astro's Playroom and its haptics, but nothing has come remotely close to taking advantage of DualSense in a similar fashion. I suspect the features on this new Xbox controller will be similarly underutilized.
After days of playing I'm in low 8 territory - mostly due to the incessant loading for which there's no excuse. I get this game was conceptualized and started development after Fallout 4, and on old hardware, but hell, why isn't the SSD leveraged more? It would bother me much less if the loads were instantaneous or much faster.
You fast travel to a planet which takes a load screen. You then fast travel to a more specific area requiring a load screen, but you...
Insomniac make perfect games essentially, time after time. They're really a remarkable studio in terms of quality and continuity of that quality.
The writing is great, the gameplay is great, the visuals are great - it's all great.
It's an orientation race *meant* for beginners to get them better suited and accustomed to what the game is - a racing game. Holy hell, bro. This doesn't necessarily mean it's for beginners and no one else.
Can we make honesty a thing again?
I completely agree. Everything they've made has been gold as of late. The quality of their games is top notch and they're superb when it comes to performance/visual options. Absolutely fantastic studio.
Looking forward to this game.
I find it's scores people disagree with; not so much worded opinion. I agree with much of the criticism of the more popular critical reviews - IGN, GameSpot, et al. I'm still having a great time with the game though.
People don't disagree with Dan Stapleton as much as they disagree with the number 7. It's all about Metacritic and fanboy flexing. Comparing Baldur's Gate to Starfield and Spider-Man to Starfield is ridiculous on every level, but they'll...
You guys got some screws loose; need tightening.
Having a blast with this game. It's got that pull. I've put so many hours in with plenty more on the way.
Days Gone had an awful launch with character dialogue either non-audible or completely out of sync with the animation. Pure and utter game-crippling jank all around. That aside it was a pretty nice game with great visuals. The hordes were a ball and using the environment and your arsenal to take them down was a lot of fun, as was scavenging, sneaking around, and taking care of your bike. The bike was also fun to use.
Unfortunately the game received a load of unfair criticis...
Aye yai yai.
