Agreed - it's not an indie game. I would say that the developers are indie while their games aren't. As you've said, they've both been supported and published by Microsoft.

I'm really enjoying this game - more than I thought I would. The game is a good time and there's lots to do with all the mini games being quality. It's a Japanese game through and through.
Some of the sub-stories are downright hilarious. Kudos to the writers and designers.

Game Pass Ultimate comes out to around $179.88 a year plus tax, but I've been finding that it's worth every penny. It also waives the standard fee for Gold as long as you're subscribed.

I just wasn't aware that Google had gaming studios. You guessed wrong. I keep myself apprised (for the most part) but I don't know everything - just like you.
Cut the superiority act - a simple, polite correction is all that was necessary.
I don't mind politics as much in games as I mind them in reviews. I think a game leaning a certain way is fine so long as it's done right and isn't overbearing. The Last of Us and Days Gone are two games that do this right.
When it comes to reviews, just find someone who enjoys the game and doesn't mind the politics within. I'd prefer reviewers not weigh in politically.
