That's one thing that I enjoyed in Lost Odyssey.
All of the characters were adults and though there were 2 kids that join your party they were realistically treated as children.
It's likely the most mature storyline I had ever seen in a JRPG, and I think the adult cast contributed to that a lot. It certainly made it more "real" than a bunch of ragtag kids out to save the world.
It's to be expected with big-name releases. The publisher always goes where the money is at, and let's face it, kids love them some close quarters arcade shooters.
I've played both Souls games on my PS3 and got rid of my PS3 version of Dark Souls not too long ago thinking that I'd be getting a better version on PC.
Now that I know that won't be the case, I can rest assured that the gameplay will be just as I remembered it. For better or for worse.
Playing the game again with the added content will be great, but going through areas like Blight Town will still suck because of the framerate.
If only for the sole reason of supporting the series and hopefully get a MUCH better port next time around.
Edit: Though I would have gladly waited longer for a proper port or even the next game if it meant it would have the bare PC essentials.
Borderlands, as much as I love it, is probably not the kind of game to be going into such controversial topics anyway.
Stick to shooting things and collecting sweet guns and everyone will be a happy camper. Especially here in Texas. :P
A lot of these things I would actually NOT want in DayZ.
A safe zone to trade stuff? No thanks, unless the community itself decides to take that upon themselves to form an outpost of some sort with guards keeping troublemakers in check.
Instanced dungeons with Killing-Floor gameplay? I would actually want less action in a zombie apocalypse simulator. Ruins the suspenseful nature of the game.
Sounds like this guy would much rather play a...
Well, it's hard to beat the original, but Zer0 still looks pretty cool in his own right. :)
The decision for BF4 still puzzles me. With so much content still headed for BF3, it's going to be hard to justify a purchase for another battlefield game unless they either do something completely new or go back to the more traditional style of Battlefield gameplay.
Absolutely, the topic itself has been done to death so much that I almost avoided the article entirely, but I decided to give it a read anyway and found myself impressed. The author makes some great observations and accurately sums up women in gaming.
Very well written and definitely worth the read.
Been meaning to buy this game, but I don't see how a mode that removes challenge from the game can be an incentive for those on the fence. It may atract a more casual audience looking to play it for the story or whatever other features the game has to offer, but I'm pretty sure it was the combat that was this game's claim to fame.
I disagree with this. While I love both Souls games to death, I don't exactly think it has influenced other games to follow suit with its difficult yet strict gameplay, or at least not yet.
Most games are made with the intention that the players will be able to beat said game. If you can't beat a boss in a Souls game, then tough cookies. You don't get to progress until you get better, and the game doesn't hold your hand to do so.

He's likely referring to the Steam version.
Unless Valve somehow convinced Microsoft to not charge for what was supposed to be a free update.
Edit: Wow, they actually did manage to convince them. Grats to the 360 folks.
Could be that the real reason for your character to visit the small town in animal crossing was because he felt guilty for murdering his terminally ill wife.
While he was there he decided to collect furniture and dig up fossils.
Definitely something to keep an eye on. :)
I actually think it will do okay on PS3, considering that there aren't too many MMO competitors on the platform, and the $40 price tag will likely be enticing for a lot of people.
PC is a different story. Not only will they have to compete with the already established MMO giants, but also with the upcoming Guild Wars 2.
I'm also curious as to what will happen with the old FFXIV. Will its entire fanbase jump ship? Will the game continue to be supported...
Funny, I can think of a ton of devs who would love their games to be compared to Zelda.
Surely being compared to an already popular game is a good thing.
Kingseeker Frampt from Dark Souls gets my vote.
That giant grin and those droopy ears. *shivers*
Fall semester starts on the 27th for me. :(
College and gaming do not mix well.
At least I'll be able to play during the headstart.
This and playing Dark Souls again (PC this time) is gonna take up what little free time I'll have.
You go girl!
Seriously, that's what happens when you neglect your other platforms. Selling out to only one is shooting yourself in the foot. Not only are you losing consumer goodwill, but people are likely to simply move on or stop supporting you entirely. And what is gained from releasing early on 360? Does the DLC somehow play better? No. So long as they actually get it on time, they don't think twice of it.
You can't expect to shamelessly mark...
Didn't Solidus and to a lesser extent Liquid and Solid Snake have accelerated aging?
