I like this. In fact I hope the next gen of consoles requires HD. People need to upgrade already. I've had nothing but HDTV in my home for years now.
That sucks. I wanted to play it on a console that actually works. (My 360's been at repairs for almost 2 months now.)

And thus we see Microsoft's problem. With the Xbox 360 they've released what is essentially the Halo Box Mk.II, revered by hardcore gamers and shooter enthusiasts, where games like Viva Pinata and Eternal Sonata get ignored. This console will not succeed. I am telling you this not because I don't own it -- I do (just for the Team Ninja games, anyway) -- but because I love the way it feels when I'm right and you're wrong at the end of it all.
How's this related to gaming? Because it has the word "Sony" in it? All that's going to do is start a flame war. Go kill yourself.
Gamers may not care about Blu-ray, but HDTV owners do. If you don't own an HDTV you probably shouldn't be looking at the PS3 anyway. Go buy a Wii you poor SOB.
These figures are always exaggerated.
Today games only score well when they're EXPECTED to. You'll never see a Final Fantasy, GTA, or Halo game get bad scores from major publications. That's how the industry works. Unfortunately, too many people take these critics seriously.
PS3 is selling exactly as much as Xbox 360 during its own first year. Considering that the console costs $500-600, I'd say that's pretty good. When the price comes down it's over for MS. Sony doesn't need a miracle. MS does.
Christ, since when do so many people not understand what classifies a game as RPG? Firstly, there are no character classes or parties in Folklore. Secondly, there are no more stats to keep track of than in your typical action/adventure game. And thirdly, no spiky haired hero. So what the f*ck?
I noticed that new demo up there this morning. DL'ed it and found it was some crazy strategy game. Similar to Bladestorm, you should not download unless you know Japanese.

It's all BS. I'm guessing the real reason they don't want a demo is because it might turn people off from the game, or it might get bad press, etc. They're just not confident with it basically. Dead Rising was a sandbox game and there was a well done demo released on marketplace, which was pretty popular by the way.

People who only have 1080i seriously need to upgrade their TVs. I was in that same boat earlier, and then I bought a Sony Bravia. The difference was night and day.
MS sold the same amount of 360's during its second year as they did during its first year. That is NOT good. PS1 showed an increase in sales over each year. PS2 followed this trend, as will PS3. Once the price drops a bit, Blu-ray becomes better recognized, and games like MGS4 and GT5 release, it's on.
And let's not forget DMC4, Assassin's Creed, SC4... These are multi games, but do you think people would rather play them on the red ring riddled 360, or the Blu-ray capable, co...
Horrible design and overpriced. Otherwise I'd buy it, as my 360 has been MIA for nearly 2 months now. Never again, MS.
