it's not necessarily bad, though they are a few bad pc ports around. me1 was ported by demiurge studious, but it didn't turn out bad, in fact it was nicely optimized for the pc. plus i'm sure dx11 is confirmed for the pc version, so i'm guessing this studio is just helping the main team optimize the game for pc in terms of graphics and controls.
you know, just because it got a higher score than the games you mentioned, doesn't mean it's better than them. the 9/10 is just the rating for the particular genre. just saying.
being passionate and being offended by peoples opinion of your work is totally different. you don't see the dead space 2 guy mouthing his mouth against critics right, and from interviews he seems to take criticisms well.
i wonder how his wife tolerates his attitude back home? i hope he doesn't bring back work attitude back home.
i like long games but only if they're entertaining right to the end, otherwise i would feel like being dragged to the end. i thought me1 did ok, but me2's length feels artificial with the planet scanning, so i'm like "when the f*** is this going to end?!"
the accusation of crysis 1 being generic was unjustified as well. i guess back then it was because it was the biggest pc exclusive and a graphics benchmark until today. too many people overlooked the graphics and forgot how good the gameplay is. i played it on my intel pentium 4 3ghz pc with nvidia 8500 gt and still enjoyed it, even with the shitty graphics settings and less than 30 frames.
indeed. it didn't outperform the first, but it was a really solid game. the new nanosuit is actually better than the first if i may say so. the first had better gameplay and level design overall, and a silent protagonist is a bit boring, i take the dull nomad anyday. still wished i was playing as psycho tho.
btw, i haven't finished the game yet, so i might not no somethings.
i haven't played the pc version. i hope they would add graphics setting together with the dx11 patch. most pc gamers have no problem understanding graphical terms to choose settings according to their preference.
lots of it. it's a damned good game, though you would have to forgive it's occasional visual glitches. most of the time you can see a lot of clipping, flickering textures, slow-streaming textures and unstable framerate.
cryengine is definitely a winner in the pc graphics department against unreal engine 3, but crytek needs to work harder to compete with them on ue3 turf which is the consoles. it's good but ue3 does a better job on consoles.
just m...
i have a good feeling about this game regardless of the change in developer and art direction.
out of touch old people that don't play games.
how do you think ds1 got so popular eh?
i saw john noble there.
problem is that most people cant control it, the addiction is strong.
i'm all for moderation over censorship, but drugs are an exception for me.
yeap, plays a bit like a lite rpg, so expect a decent amount of replayability.
some correction there. their last title was james bond: blood stone. even though shooters are not their specialty the game still looks tempting.
but yes, they didn't deserve to be shut down since blur is a good game and the pgr series even more so. hope they would form a new team to make a long-waited sequel to pgr 4.
the graphics are really good, especially for an xbox 360 game. the only thing is the frame rate dips a lot during cutscenes where heavy special effects were applied.
from what i know multiplayer usually does take a dip in terms of graphics. i believe the purpose of downgrading the graphics were to smoothen the frame rate for more responsive controls.
i thought the vegetation was the strong point of the graphics. the rest looked ok, especially considering the age of the xbox 360.
they're definitely earlier than you.
great game, almost finishing the finale, though i'm too tired too continue right now, maybe tomorrow.
