lets look at the positive side. at least if microsoft supports the pc platform better, more devs will utilize the power of the pc. they've been on and off, but still, better to enjoy it while it lasts.

yeah, the world is just beautifully designed. but sandbox is too much work for dice, and not necessarily effective. sub-free roam is enough for me. each level could have some side quests you can do to obtain more items and achievements perhaps, like achievements to collect items. a free roam area as big as the ones in alan wake would suffice.
people do get confused mass effect with mirror's edge sometimes since their initials are the same.

pc exclusives don't need to be released every few years since pc games tend to last longer due to mods, hardware upgrades, community, etc. usually expansion packs would do the trick for pc gamers.
just because the main guy is leaving, doesnt mean the whole ship will sink. the tfu franchise sold very well for a mixed reviewed game. if anything they'll probably even poach the main guy involved in god of war development, since they surely have the money to do so.
sometimes it might not even be the average gamer. lol-ed when my parents forbid me from playing games on the pc because it could get virus, overheat the pc and spoil the keyboard and mouse. but the main reason i couldn't play on pc was because i just don't have the budget, i can barely support my console gaming habit as it is, student budget ftw.

i think the keyword here is optimization. optimize for the lowest common denominator, then when taken to a more powerful platform, push it as much as you can.

excellent for a new ip with a bold direction. this got my respect alongside mirror's edge, both tried something new and unique, and the sales were decent. these devs have balls to do these kinds of games, and keeping the video game industry well fed.
game is looking great. i'm really into the dodge viper police car. graphics look good for an open-world game as well. the nfs series is really back up on it's feet. i think if they could alternate between the hot pursuit, shift and underground series, it would be great. same brand, different games, variety for gamers.
in the past, games have portrayed americans killing koreans (crysis), russians (cod), germans (cod yet again) and so on. if you put yourself in their shoe, they feel the same too. it's just a game, not real life, games are the best place to unleash your demons in order to avoid taking it out on real people. you watch porn to avoid the need to rape someone amirite?

well, last i checked vg chartz, it sold about 1.5 million copies. that's pretty impressive for a new ip, let alone a non-standard fps without a space marine. it's a massively underrated game, i hate when it gets hate for trying to be fresh and original, of course being a new concept, it will have problems. if they did a 2nd one, surely they'll fix the flaws.
