oh, i forgot, me1 is where the bulk of the story is. me2's storyline is bare bones. in the end collectors are protheans.
oops, i spoiled the whole story for everyone. but seriously, the real enjoyment comes from playing the first game over and over.
the lack of the first game does take away from the experience a bit. but microsoft forked out their cash for mass effect, so you cant really blame them for wanting to keep it to their platform. if they're kind, maybe they could allow ps3 owners to import save game from the pc version. ps3 gamers get their stuff, ms gets their money (sales from 1st mass effect, buying a windows 7 pc, etc).
@outrageous
david jaffe left sony santa monica to form his own studio, does that mean god of war 3 sucked too? and please, the people that left visceral games were barely the minds behind the game, more like the corporate suits there.
@r2d2
if there's an iron man game, i'd rather it adapted straight from the comics a la batman aa, not follow the movies. usually game devs are more faithful when it comes to adapting storylines, hollywoo...
i want to, but that might just not happen. by the time i could obtain my own salary the ps4 would have been out :( college student budget ftw...
seems like the purpose of this article is just to provoke a fanboy war. but you still cant deny bulletstorm looks damn amazing. it also defied the myth that ue3 can only do grays and browns.
only fanboys would care. i only own an xbox 360, and i feel very happy that ps3 gamers can get their hands on an awesome game. soon you'll get a taste of bungie's product, and we get a taste of isomniac's stuff.
yeah, disagree, i thought my idea sucked. i was actually hoping for the ability to import me1 pc save game, but then i'm also pretty sure ms holds the me1 data. but then again ea was the publisher for the pc version.
whatever it is, i'm fully behind dead space. from what i see from their gamescom demo, they are set to retain the atmosphere of the 1st game, and maybe do it better in fact. i still worry about this going down the me2 path (action over story)., but i'll wait until it comes out to judge it properly.
disagree it is. no one likes the fat ps3 :(
it would be ironic if the remaining staff ran to ruffian games lol.
how bout a text-based me1? they could just make a text-based version and give it a different name to circumvent ms copyright. it can act as a save game creator. of course, the charm of playing the actual game will be missing.
while the ps3 slim is pretty good, i don't know if ps3 owners want this, but they should keep the fat ps3 option alive. it's not like they cant fit the ps3 slim motherboard into it, just keep the shiny casing with more ventilation.
best of luck there. hope david jones' resume is still good enough to be accepted elsewhere. he was involved in creation of the gta franchise after all.
i feel happy that the ps3 owners will get a chance at mass effect 2, because it's just really awesome. but the question here is how are they going to get the option to import save? the only solution i can think of is either buy the pc version, finish it and export the save game to the ps3, or create a text-based me1.
screw this conference, i'm trying to do my assignments here :( what a distraction.
holy fuck, mass effect is on ps3!
dead space 2 is win!
oh dear, harry potter game not looking very good. i enjoyed the sims a bit though.
the demo was slightly dissapointing but overall it was a good experience. too bad i'm occupied with exams til mid september, so this and mafia 2 will have to wait.
scariest tiger i've ever seen. it looks like the psychotic kind that eats you alive, and slowly.
