nope that was a comment about the PS2 Eyetoy
Woot! Put those motion wands to use :P
It's a niche title, and can really use a graphical update with the funky hair problem on the 360.
It's those pirates. Games don't sell well because people buy 1 and distribute.
PC Games are going the way of the console. Lose money on the initial sale, but make up the revenue in additional services...WOW
There isn't any more audio and the video is a bit dated, but it gets the point across
Are you thinking what Sony has thought of a couple years back?
The PS3 Glove?
I call it the PS3mote
or DS3mote
Good HW is 1 step, but without the 3rd party Devleoper support Games will not be made.
And marketing to help non-game consumer understand what this is and what they need to play.
Eye toy was very powerful, but developers hardley did anything with it
As much as I can root for Sony, the point needs to be stated.
What have they done with the tech?
PS2 had network play, but what has Sony done with online play?
MS has supposedly (don't have a 360) beat them in online play
HW is one step, the final and most crucial step is SW support and it looks like Sony hasn't been giving it.
Dr Marks has been pimping his Eye Toy for almost 10 years and he still is pimping it. Why hasn't Sony given...
1) Fighting games beyond boxing and maybe kick boxing would not work.
The number of moves is limited to what you can physically do. Some people have trouble kicking above their knees. You can only memorize X number of gestures.
Rebuttle to 1) You can always use a controller/object with Natal.
Well then your range of motion is limited because you now have a controller in 1 or both of your hands. So Yes, you've expanded your button mapping, but you have really li...
1) Left for dead with motion controlled Melee.
2) Police 911 by konami
3) Boxing equivalent of police 911 (MoCap Boxing)
4) Demon Souls
5) Elder Scrolls
They forgot stuff.!
Across the pond they have add-ons like GPS and the camera.
A touch screen would have allow for quick easy development and ports from Ipod touch
Same price point, but include GPS, Camera and touch screen built in...Then it would give users a reason to trade up.
Oh and to hold the pirates at bay, include an optional secondary OS (Linux). It's obvious that they like your platform and know how to exploit it, Give them an area to pla...
I think now is the right time to re-introduce the PS3 Glove :)
1) Left 4 Dead - Pick up anything and use it as Melee
2) Police 911 by Konami - An on the rails shooter that uses player motion to duck and cover
3) The boxing equivalent of Police 911
4) Elder Scrolls
Sony did have a press like this years ago. It was for the PS2 eyetoy and it did almost everything that Natal did but without the bells and whistles.
It was Dr Marks on stage doing his tech demos.
Sony really needs to give the Playstation Eye support if it wants to compete in this market

I think the game is too far along to completely change the control scheme, but tt would make the game more interesting.
I remain skeptical because Nintendo pulled this trick with the Wii. Big promiese, made its rounds all over the press. Then I got it in my hands and found out they were pretending!!
Actual cost of buying Natal (thus far) is 200 plus cost of Natal.
Too much for me.
My Crystal ball shows me that there will be artificial shortages and scalpers on eBay, which results in more press and more sales.
Wonder what the ESRB is going to say about this game..
Introducing the revoultionary 360 freedom controller, which tracks motion and is bundled with minigames galore and fun for the whole family....look familiar?
In other news Eye toy can do facial recognition and 3D tracking as demoed back in Feburary 2005. This was written in an article by gamespy titled "Mind-Numbing New Interface Technologies" with Dr. Richard Marks as the speaker and demonstrator. Not to mention the Ps2 Game "Operation Spy" had Facial rec...
I think what the author meant to say that the in-game graphics of GOW3 look better than the pre-rendered cutscenes from GOW2 and it does.
3 things need to happen
1) License the engine so that other Devs can use this level of graphics in all PS3 games
2) GOW 1 & 2 need to be included with GOW3.
3) Release 2 versions. A T rated version and a NC-17 version.
Nope, that was a comment about the PS2 Eye toy
