HADOOO-KEN!!
I think MSFT had a good showing. They demo-ed more of games for Kinetic. The price is all but confirmed.
The only thing there were missing was more core games for Kinetic. Having Forza Kinetic Compatible is a good sign. Perhaps the other Software was not ready. Last thing they needed was another Natal flub.
Me thinks the core gamer was not the target audience for E3. I think they were trying to show that MSFT also has kids games....A LOT of kids gam...
Biggest let down was the price of the move
If you purchase the Pack = 99
3 more wands = 150
2 navigation = 60
Total Price for Move = 310. That's a bit steep but the good side is the games are priced at $40
Kinetic seems pretty attractive for $150
I like "Move Party" Better
ZOMBIES!!! 1:10 in the first video
Avatar has Wonkey legs throughout the 2nd video and Funkey arms at the end of the 2nd.
Must be using an old version, because Richochet at last E3 was much better than this version
It looks like the avatars have no bones in their legs or necks.
It's like their zombies.
Also did anybody see the zombie walk by during the tech demo at 1:10?
Play as your Avatar
Using Playstation eye take your picture and use it as the main character
and move support.
It does because the company is no longer for the actions of stupid people.
Both PS3 and Wii need a peripheral that lets you aim without using the onscreen reticle
CO-OP!
2V2 team deathmatch
(Batman & Joker) vs (Nightwing & Harley)
or
(Batman + nightwing) vs (Joker and 2 face)
or...ETC
Bust-a-Groove
A couple of things to consider
1) The amount of physical space needed to allow 4 adult players at the same time. The only way I see around this is to have 2 people closer to the camera and 2 people behind the 1st two people
2) How many games are going to support 4 players at once? Thus far only A few Mario party mini games and Wii tennis support 4 players at once.
Wii Fit sold for $100 and did well
Guitar Hero sold for $80 and did well
Rockband/Band Hero sold for $170 and did well
DJ hero did moderately well $70
If the games that come out are good, then Natal will sell well.
Thus far, the press has only gotten their hands on a few demos/games
1) Ricochet
2) Burnout
3) Katamari
4) Painting Demo
None of those are big sellers
It doesn't count until somebody outside of Sony/MS gets their hands on it.
LBP and Resident Evil 5 did not get a hands on by the press. So although they are coming, they don't count yet
So that means Natal gets 1 more:
Burnout Paradise.
So score is 2 to 4: Advantage Sony
At this early stage quantity matters. Once you get a large library of games, the audience will follow. This was the case when 360 first ...
The Score So far:
Natal:
Ricochet
Move:
Wii Sports Resort Clone -Gladiator, tennis, bow and arrow...etc
Lights Out -
Mini Games - move party, shooter, ...etc
Socom 4
Move has the advantage, because it showed more than wii clones
First article i came across where there were "meh" about the move.
But from all the rest, the controller feels solid
original xbox didn't get a slim version, and given the heat issues with the current 360, Slim seems like a super stretch
Wii HD - Nope.
1) Wii sales have slowed down, but they are still selling.
2) The launch of 3DS and Wii HD is a lot to market.
3) The main demographic of the Wii is not interested in HD graphics. Based on reviews from their biggest software sales, the current graphics seems capable.
Rockband has sold pretty well - $200 for the entire game at launch it seemed to have worked out really well. And that is only 1 game.
Move brings accuracy to the motion controller genre. Something that was missing from all previous iterations from motion controller.
Move is the Analog stick on the N64 controller. It will get the ball rolling on some VERY impressive motion controllers
Home needs to be integrated into XMB.
1)autolaunch into a localized home space.
2) Visually see who's online by seeing who is in your space
3) Option to enable/disable 1 and 2
4) Use Sackboy/ModNation Racer as your avatar/ avatar pet
5) More cartoony facial features. All that detail is not needed
Games that need to use these Demos
1) Mirror's Edge
2) Infamous
3) Iron Man
4) Sorcery
5) Heavy Rain
6) Prince of Persia
