I'm also a huge capcom fan. Maybe they're waiting for the PS3 to hit its stride. RE5 selling 2:1 for 360 could also have something to do with it...
As long as Capcom's games (lost planet 2 aside, I dont really care about that franchise...) are running well on my preferred console of choice, the PS3, then I dont really care about their relationship...

But it isnt ALWAYS bad. look at polyphony digital. The director admitted to not playing more than GT. And, well, we all know what the best racing sim will be this gen :P
Square Enix is the best example of what he's talking about and Capcom used to be (they keep getting better and better).
Japan's saving grace is Nintendo and Team Ico in this area.
If the new PSP announced at E3 is the one that is compatible with a new Gran Turismo game, then I will purchase it despite my lack of interest in handheld gaming these days.
