Sony's E3 press conference had more games that were more interesting to me than MS's conference did. I certainly did not expect it look soo good. Wow. I'm really anticipating its launch. Day 1 for my PSP 1000.
But I think it would be unfair to dismiss Forza 3 as a bad looking game. Thats not the case, and I think the game looks great.

Thats very true, but as witnessed at Nintendo's conference last year, the attendance is made up of hardcore gamers. Thats the market at E3. Hardcore gamers want to see hardcore games. Tony Hawk has lost its thunder ages ago, and so its not necessarily the best strategy for MS especially when people are expecting a lot from them since they've been quiet for so long.

MS buying up Epic would be pretty freaking big, because the UE3 would force other publishers to adopt a new engine, its both a good and bad thing IMO. all of sony's games are selling in Europe this gen. And the fact that the game in Japan was close to selling as much as the U.S. is sad. The U.S. doesn't seem to be embracing the PS3 like the PS2 or PSP.
Then why did Gran Turismo 5: Prologue, a demo, sell 3.5 million units on a console base of 14 million? When Gran Turismo 5 is shipped, the base will be larger, and the game won't be conceived as a "demo". Also, the photorealistic graphics unparalleled by any other racing game won't hurt.

Evolution studios and Liverpool are still one another, its just that sony had them merge in one building. They're both developing separate games while sharing technology.
OT: WipEout HD is the best racing game I've played this gen, I'd be glad to see it being promoted more and some DLC. People really need to get this game...

Bioshock, Shadow of the Colossus, Metroid Prime 3, God of War, and Prince of Persia have amazing art that make them some of the best looking games ever.
Edit: Of course where it makes sense realistic graphics are always welcomed. Uncharted 2, Assassins creed 2, Heavy Rain etc... are all jaw dropping in graphics...

I watched the exact same video as you did. How the hell you came up with the conclusion that this looks better than KZ2 is simply out of my mind. How? I mean every single aspect (character models, lighting, post processing effects, particle effects, animation etc..) looks inferior to KZ2.

The Director of God of War 3 confirmed that the game is currently running in 720p. He said that by the time the game is released it will definitely run in 1080p native. Actually, he said that the team would get the game in that state soon.
Also, the game has been confirmed to run at 60 FPS, but will dip down seamlessly to 30 FPS in some of the bigger moments of the game. The frame rate will then go back to 60 FPS for the majority of the game.
