It's better to have an experience like Demon Souls, Crash, Spyro, Shadow of the Collossus, Resident Evil, Metal Gear(GC), etc. With this, at least we'll see some actual effort is put into the game other than increasing resolution.

How long are we going to allow these companies to do this? They've been recycling all the same content for years now. Bethesda, Rockstar, Activision, and Nintendo all repackage old IPs to resale as new. At least REMAKE the games but these are simply copy and paste. No I purchased a 10k PC because I like to treat myself to whatever the best options are available. That said, when I don't prefer something it's just that. My point is, even with the "best options" on PC I prefer console. I mean, most think you wouldn't choose console over PC when you've experienced all its "splendor", though all the best experiences for me are exclusive to console.
The mods change cosmetic allure but not much else. It's not the mods that win the game awards or etches them in the realm of greatness. My rig cost me 10k to build but with all the ultra settings it allows, the story stays the same, levels stay the same, ending stays the same. So essentially, PCs don't actually add much to the experience.

But what's NEW, we've been playing the whole Forza, Gears, Halo cycle for years now. Okay we have Bethesda library but we've played ALL of that too. Yakuza has been available on other platforms as well.
This paying to play aged IPs is getting old, and leaves MUCH to be desired. Much like Netflix or the like, once all the new stuff is seen how much old content do you pursue? If you want better you have to demand it, not just settle for what is offered.

Uuum, if I play any Xbox exclusive it will be by paying $15 then canceling after I'm done. Only reason to have it is to pay less for exclusive access, no other reason to keep it. I own just about every game on GP, albeit on the PS, so paying 1/4th of the cost to play their exclusives is golden. I will definetly benefit off of MS insecurities in their ability to sale their products full retail. They did this to themselves.
Better way to play it? Uuum, the gameplay, storyline, etc all stays the same even if better resolution, fps, etc all improve. What is better about playing it on PC?
What makes an IP dead is its lack of making profit on it's home platform. Case in point, you'll have to pay retail for God of War on PC, where as it is free for any person purchasing a PS5. Same with Horizon. When you start seeing exclusives arrive on day one WITH the PS consoles then there's some room to make proclamations towards the future. Sony's not so insecure in their own ability to print money on their own platforms to relinquish/neuter themselves by relying on another...
Far from the future as development cost are minimized by optimizing for a uniform console. This would explain why all these PC ports are awful, as there are far too many setups to take into account. These companies are using the lack of PC Exclusives to grab additional money from their archive of otherwise dead IP. Why not? If there's extra money to be had, get it. Though I can't see Sony releasing Exclusives day and date with the PS5.

All these opinions pieces are growing tiresome, but by definition an opinion doesn't have to have any actual foundation to be communicated. Journalism has grown to be so lazy over the years, it's getting increasingly harder to even stomach the industry. Too many political and biased vantage points are interjected into articles any more that you have to either stomach it or dismiss it entirely.
Who's to say what deserves higher or lower reviews? Taste and prefer...
