Cool story, bro.
Uuum, Team Ninja developed the combat system for SoP and Square is publishing it. No one makes a better fighting system than Team Ninja. Nioh was only rivaled by Sakiro, and Fromsoftware chose to borrow from all but Sakiro. ER, combat wise, is only okay; it's like Bloodbourne with an opened world. Go play Nioh, Sakiro, or Ninja Gaiden, then come back to talk about combat.
The combat does look like it's going to smoke Elden Ring. As much as I like Elden, I am tired of the same stale combat you found in Demon Souls, Dark Souls, and Blood Bourne. Sakiro and Nioh had great combat that evolved, adding new techniques to your arsenal as you progressed. It would have been awesome if each class had unique move lists in Elden like each weapon did in Ninja Gaiden.
You are aware that the timeline of SoP is during FF1, right? Are you aware of just how hard FF 1&2 were?
So many words, you could have just gone off and played said games. Trust me, no one would have even noticed your absence. Just a minor observation.
What Mr. Cruz lurking again. What a surprise. I guess you should be off playing Forza then, now shouldn't you? There's nothing to see here, just another inferior Playstation title, hoping that someone would buy it. If only Sony had GP... Without it, GT will just have to remain the highest SELLING driving franchise ever. It's such a shame that people are only willing to buy such a subpar offering from Sony.
Not at all, but MS ability to support isn't in question. So, what credit is afforded to one not willing to follow the example they aim to benefit from? As a child, I celebrated being gifted, but as a man, I've relished in the fruits of my own labor.
I've never seen so many people celebrating their lack of support. How is an industry to thrive with minds such as these?🤔
The devs thank you for your charitable and noteworthy contribution towards their efforts. Well played.
It's pretty awesome when someone else picks up the bill for you, huh? It almost puts you back in the position of a child.
However long it is, I just put some actual time into it, and it's enjoyable. It's unfortunate that the multi-player mechanics didn't make a return. I'm more than sure there were factors that made them decide against putting them back in. It looks nice, it's enjoyable, and if the price is too much for you, perhaps just wait for a sale. Studios like this deserve understanding where larger ones get a pass for delivering less.
Exactly.
Actually, I have never cared for Mario as a kid even.
If that's their choice, that's their choice. I'm getting the game, but I, in no way, have to subscribe. That's the great thing about choice. Just play it to have fun, beat the story, and move on. Nothing more has to be said about what my thoughts are about the choices they make. I like Square and Platinum, so I'm supporting their efforts.
I would love to see 4k/60 as the standard along with effects in games that go beyond resolution. Fog, steam, reflective ripple effects, realistic skin representation, etc.
They shouldn't need to give their game away when it's a great game. Gamepass was a direct result of a community not willing to purchase products. People have unrealistic expectations for developers as well; they're no different than any person judging them. All companies have good outings and bad ones, and Squenix is no exception.
That is one hell of a run-on sentence.

Unfortunately for these companies, they have to answer shareholders and board members demanding their return on investment. There's not an ounce in me that accepts that a creator wants to release a poor product as opposed to a great one. There's an element at work that has an apparent detachment from the artists and the players. I've found it better to understand their situation, given that I've been in business and the gaming industry for almost 20 years now. CD will be fine,...
