But you can't traverse the planets in your ship in Starfield, so what's your point. A jetpack - with seemingly limited boost - isn't enough. I can already foresee walking for miles thinking "I bet there's something over that hill", only to then be disappointed and have to walk all the way back. So you'll never see more than the planets with the missions on, because it will be a pointless waste of time.
With vehicles, or even fast alien mounts -...
Behold, Todd's amazing new writing team and marvel at the never-seen-before levels of character backstories with 16 times the depth:
"I used to be an explorer, like you, but then I took a phaser to the knee"
Plot twist: you play as Forest Gump and run everywhere
Even with a jetpack - how long would it take to travel across Earth by jetpack? Now do that a thousand times over and it's not sounding so fun. Land vehicles are a must for speed, but also for a bit of gameplay variation. Even No Man's Sky has various options, including by foot, jetpack, tameable alien mounts, ATV, or you can just fly your ship around at will - just above the surface or straight up and out of the atmosphere any time you like (as you can in Star Wars Outlaw, too). Heck...
Phil's lying honestly knows no bounds. This is just the latest contradiction to his previous claims as a result of official documentation submitted to the FTC.
Either he's been lying this whole time, or Microsoft is now lying to the FTC. One of these statements HAS to be true - or they both can be - but there is no explanation where either Phil or Microsoft is not lying here. What a filthy organisation.
Par for the course, especially of late.
So much wrong with your statement, but let's work through it together:
- Whataboutisms don't make incomplete games and broken promises okay.
- Sony didn't release No Man's Sky. Hello Games did.
- The point in this article is that they are STOPPING a feature from the free updates.
- "EVERY Microsoft article"? Really though?
- You assume too much.
Other than that, you did great.
I don't need a demo for Spider-Man 2.
Because good reviews are good business. Put the bad stuff in afterwards and put money in the bank.
So basically, "Thanks for buying our incomplete game. We're not doing cutscenes anymore now, either, because of [reasons and excuses], but once again, thanks for your money"
This game was a disaster.
^ Todd Howard also said "16x the detail" and "it just works" when he was hyping up Fallout 76. He lied on both points.
Microsoft seemingly only removes its foot from its mouth to replace it with the other one.
What were they thinking with this little gem? LMAO
^ No, @GhostScholar, that's just the nature of Bethesda games full stop. They epitomise videogame jank. They can still be fun, but they're shoddy af.
So rather than asking me how exactly their claims about Starfield are - as I said "demonstrably" lying - you went straight for the ad hominem. Yet you think I'M the one that needs to grow up? Lol
Off the top of my head, Digital Foundry - while defending the sub-30fps performance on xbox Series X - called this an "Open Universe" game, despite the game constantly loading and the fact that you can't even take off or land the ship - it goes to a cuts...
^ Crows90, you do you, man, but know this: since the world went nuttso for Half Life Alyx, VR games have come a LONG way. There are many games, even in the last 6 months alone that are better looking/playing than HLA - which is still a great game, don't get me wrong, but it's aging and has been surpassed.
On PSVR2 alone, there's already been Red Matter 2 and RE Village, with Hubris coming in a week, followed by Synapse, RE4 Remake VR and the EPIC Wanderer was ju...
^ To be fair, @crazy, Zeref is kinda right, there. Microsoft tried and failed at VR/AR a couple of times. It's the same thing we're seeing in their console efforts, but that failure is more prolonged and it's demise is protracted by comparison.
^ Quest 2 ALSO outsold Xbox Series X AND Series S combined in the same timeframe.
All these guys saying "VR is niche" need to realise something; XBOX is niche!
Check out this analysis pointing out all the shilling Digital Foundry is doing for Starfiled. Straight up, demonstrably lying at times!

In terms of the downgrade, even the thumbnail of the trailer shows this clearly. The only thing I would say is better on that particular character is the hair. Everything else is awful by comparison. They fixed the wonky ey...
The best version of one of the best VR games available. A total no-brainer!
Sony wouldn't have made us walk across a thousand planets. They'd have made sure we had a vehicle to traverse them with. PS5's SSD would have allowed us to take off and land on planets at will, no cutscenes required. Oh, what could have been! Lol
Joking aside, this is not a good look for Microsoft in the eyes of the FTC.
