Great offering this month

^ @Duke19, so you literally just agreed you were talking crap in your OG comment and then proceeded to make up more crap to double down on your assumption, while at the same time ignoring my words. Sales and profitability are a good indication that a game has succeeded for the developer. This will increase the likelihood of a sequel being greenlit.

I never claimed it was the sole deciding factor, because it plainly isn't, I'm just trying to help you to understand wh...

You just pulled facts from your arse to push your preferred narrative.

I'm not too concerned about game budgets, beyond a passing interest - and I don't think we really need to know - but sales and profit definitely matter. That takes it beyond 'passing interest' territory and starts to indicate the likelihood of a sequel. I am concerned about that, particularly if I really enjoyed the game.

I'll be platting this one, I can feel it.

Yeah, it's the sort of thing you'd need to follow along to, rather than just head straight to.

Not everyone has the time to do al the side quests, even if they'd like to. Would be handy to know which were the best ones, so people could make sure they catch them on their playthrough.

They could do something with the franchise, but it would need to move with the times. The games were awesome back in their day, but I'm not sure they'd do well today without a substantial overhaul - even then, I'm not sure the franchise legacy holds enough weight with the target audience to do great unless it was limited to a small-budget affair.

^ @NotoriousWhiz, they also scrimped on the SSD, all but forcing the need to upgrade with their expensive proprietary expansion. By the time you've done that, you might as well have bought a digital PS5, if you were a one console gamer.

"They've doing fine because they've got you guys talking...lol"

If you really believe no publicity is bad publicity, you should probably go check out Baalenciaga and Bud Light.

People are talking about yet another cock up from Xbox. They did fine in gen one, but then they got greedy and sloppy, so we had RROD because they wanted to beat PS3 to launch. Next gen, we got forced Kinect, always online and no game sharing because they wanted t...

Of course it is. Just like many said it would before it even launched, once the specs were announced. Some games still look better on last gen's Xbox One X than they do on Series S.

Microsoft went with series S to undercut PlayStation on price and try for a larger market share. That hasn't worked, but they've got themselves one hell of a headache, what with having to help developers get their games to run on it and then when they do, they look and/or run like as...

Just food for thought: Apparently there aren't any studies to show any dangers to children under 12, but they went with that to cover their arses, because it was all a bit unknown. To illustrate the point, Meta, the makers of Quest headsets, recently reduced the warning age (to 10 years old, iirc?) without providing any supporting studies. Presumably they just did some sums and realised how much extra wonga that extra couple of years could net them!

This is scooping up acclaim left and right. The gameplay looks so tight and smooth and people are saying it makes you feel like a Sith Lord with the telekinesis and crushing through the adaptive triggers.

Having David Hater and Jennifer Hale onboard for voiceovers is a huge deal, too.

There's been lots of horror games added or announced. If you're liking the look of Synapse, you should check out The Light Brigade. It's not as graphically impressive or perfected from a gameplay perspective, but it's a bloody good game in it's own right and similar in structure.

Also check out Red Matter 2 and Hubris.

^ @The_Hooligan, the good news is there are a bunch of companies already doing lenses that snap over the ones in the headset, which they can adjust to your prescription if you like. Sometimes people just want blue light filters, which they can also accommodate. They're around $40, I think, and you can usually get a discount code from YouTubers (like Polish Paul) at the end of most of the current videos they put out.

Thinking about doing this myself, but I'd need to ...

Agree, but Perfect Dark isn't the half of it, look at Elder Scrolls 6 FFS - teaser trailer, build hype, 5 years later tell everyone they have at least 5-7 more years to wait and that the game is in early development. That just stinks.

So much for the concern trolling about UK retail figures cut to make it look like a bust. This game is doing great in terms of sales, critical and user acclaim - and deservedly so. Roll on FFVII Rebirth!
