To me it depends on what you focus on when you decide on the better game. Imo BoTW is the better Zelda game as it's combat, world, pacing, graphics, mechanics and amount of content is better.
But if you think of which game is best for it's time or which game made the most impact then I would choose A Link to the Past.
Yes! Important aspects of games doesn't necessarily have to be spoiled and written about. if not knowing about the said aslect is intended by the developer it should be kept hidden. Just like how you don't spoil major plot points of a story even though they are important aspects of the game.
If you only played the story I get it but if you used the time to explore I really don't. The story was lacking imo but I used 60 hours before I took my first divine beast.
To me Zelda is revolutionary in the open world genre. A big word I know but it was the first open world game I've played where I was continously surprised by the world and it's physics and where I actually wanted to explore. I really hope future open world games follows in zelda's tracks, dropping ...
I have a switch and I love it but I don't know what you're talking about. Played zelda for a month on switch and I started on Horizon on PS4 last week, and I've never felt that the Switch in any way had a superior rumble feature. It might be that Zelda is a bad example? Which games are you playing?
Why would you want another console that focuses on powerful hardware, a normal controler and a TV? Microsoft and Sony is basicaly the same (although Imo Sony knocks all the competitors out of the park with their exclusives atm.) We really don't need a third one that is just more of the same. Even though Nintendo sometimes do crappy decisions they still think differently in terms of hardware, which I think is great.
After playing around with the Switch I really hope that sometime...
I bought Switch FOR Zelda. A lot of people buy Switch for Zelda. IT's not like people buy a new system with no games and then surprisingly see Zelda and buys it because it's the only game.
Exclusives do matter he said. Zelda and Horizon proves that. What's not to understand about that?
News about zelda and horizon hitting 3M came at the same time so using them as a point to say that exclusives do matter only makes sense.
Got to disagree on this one. I've played 8 hours of it before i gave up and I found it majestetic and I was exciited to find out how the main characters bond would develop. BUT the controls camera angles and how Trico sometimes never reacted to my calls just made the game too much of a chore. I get the idea of how Trico will get more obidientafter a while but I couldn't immerse myself and just wanted to get a move on instead of being stuck at the same place for up to a hour seeing the...
Altough I would love for it to come to switch and it would be my preferred platform, I highly doubt it would. Level 5 would have to downgrade it a lot and it would probably take a long time to make it still look good. Nintendo are really good to at making their games look great even though their hardware is limited but I doubt others can do the same if they don't develop their games especially for the Switch from the start.
I agree. I see my switch more of a handeld than a home console. When I'm home I play the PS4 but as I'm traveling a lot I'm always carrying the Switch with me playing at hotel rooms, cars and airplanes.
I can't get over how impressed I am with the switch, to be able to play games like Breath of The Wild and Mario Kart 8 on the go is ridiculous considering the jump from 3DS and even the Vita, which I earlier looked at as a extremely powerful handeld.
I think t...
Not trying to be defensive, I just wondered why you thought Mario wasn't varied. And you are right, Mario kart has 8 games now and many of the others have a lot of sequals. So i do agree with u there, but i feel nintendo wouldn't be the same without those games. Also to me Nintendo have some really unique games compared to the others. They have fornexample Arms, Splatoon and Pikmin. It's honestly not my cup of tea but those games are almost in a genre of their own. Also the their ...
Why do you count mario as being lacking in variety? It's the same guy appearing in every game true BUT the game at it's core is usually fundamentaly different.
- You got mario kart a racing game
- you got mario party, a party board game
- you got new mario bros a 2d side scroller
- you got 3d mario a platformer mixing 2d and 3d
- you got the main mario platformer a giant 3d game with new gameplay every game
- you got mario rp...
Why are people still putting forward Mario and Zelda as examples of lack of variety? It should rather be proof of variety. Are people on this site really that oblivious? Each new main instalment is totally different. The differences between them are enormous.
Nice to see that he's talking about the new Zelda being focused on taking the features of the switch in use because the console is doing so well. I really hope they do a "Majora's Mask" or like any other sequal does: The same formula as but with a new story and a new world (not hyrule). If it could release within 3 years it would be awesome!
I like how Nintendo focuses on changing everything from visual design, world, gameplay and character design on each ...
Really hope they revive it. But they need to improve tenfolds on what they delivered earlier. On Wii they gave out games with months between them and then they started over again on the Wii U making us wait forever to see games release. I really hope they have a bunch of games ready if and when they release the service.
Also having the games handeld makes the service really appealing.
The games would be handheld though. That's what makes it appealing to me. I think games are much more easy to play when you can just pick up a screen and play instead of being bound to a certain area of the house where you have to turn on the TV and sit down in the couch or chair in front of it.
I'm so stoked to play this game, really happy to see they have been supporting the game after its release. (Been abroad since christmas so I've missed out on all the masterpieces this year.) Went into 5 different stores today but it's out of stock everywhere. Really want the beautiful cover but I guess I gotta go digital.
Anyone know if there will be a summer sale on psn soon?
Bought one last week too and and I'm so glad I did. Some games just seem so much more attractive now that I can play them handeld. Really hope they get some virtual console service up and running though.
Ps4 and Switch is indeed a beautiful combo <3
sorry but this is a discussion not worth having. You're too biased.
I'm no nintendo fan nor a sony or microsoft one. (Though Sony has had one hell of a run since the late ps3 era to now) I just applaud companies for things they do which I like. Nintendo has done a lot of shit but this year they have finally done something right imho.
Hope it has a chance to appear on the Switch. If I'm gonna pay and play it again I'd rather do it hanheld while I'm on the move. Brilliant game though, would be great if a sequal ever came to be announced. (not counting the DS one)
