It's clear that you don't know professional gaming journalists.
The most important thing for them is integrity. They simply don't give a game a 10 in fear of not getting to review their games again. If you play a lot of games and you played either Mario or Zelda I think most should be able to get why the games got so many 10's, even if you personally didn't enjoy them.
Not to mention that Splatoon, Arms and fire emblem warriors didn't get ...
The points about the water in that Pokemon game were fully justified in the review though. Those water sections were awfully long and tedious. But people who only read the conclusion of the review (which is way too many) only saw the sentance "too much water" and called IGN out. Pretty funny but people who actually bash ign for it need to get a grasp.
Looks great, if I'm getting VR then full lenght games like this is why I'd buy it.. The only bummer for me is that you have no hands or body which potentially would break the immersion for me, as you're just a floating shield and sword.
It is a service we pay for though, it's only fair that people who are disappointed get to voice their opinion without being called "entitled" by people who sre pleased.
I'm definitely not paying 50 or 60 for it. If it gets down to 30 I might consider buying it. The same goes for Doom.
Totally agree with this list
This is really exciting. I love how they talk about there being no waypoint and that you get to explore the world on your own terms like in BoTW. This is how open world games should be. If there is a exciting cenario deep in a forest or by a mysterious house - don't tell the player about it via icons or waypoints on the map (like every other open world game), let the player find it himself and be surprised by what's there.
That would be incredible, loved that game. I just wish Nintendo could buy back Rare and get Banjo Kazooie too.
I didn't know that Halo and Gears completly change their gameplay, art style, textures, timezones and mechanics in each entry like Zelda and Mario do.
Disappointed to hear this as it was heavily rumpred u could only buy loot boxes with in game currency. I guess their loop hole was that if people buy in-game currency with real money people can still only buy loot boxes with in-game currency.
If the game gets stellar reviews and the experience is not affected by loot boxes then I'll buy it. If not I'll definitely pass.
A month ago. Mario + Rabbids.
@Araragifeels
The fact that you got 20 agrees and o ly 5 disagrees shows how uninformed people are. Ubisoft have done nothing else than listening to their fans with Origins, still people complain. Ubisoft should be praised for their handling of AC.
As a reddit user said:
People asked for a year off- they gave one
People asked for them to change the mechanics- they did
New Combat- they did

@Ikenda
I fully agree with you, it's no biggie and I don't agree with the article at all. The only thing I disagreed with was your reason for the loading times: "Dude is a handeld what do you expect" " Why does everybody forget the Switch is a handeld that connects to a tv?"
Odyssey, then I might get Origins unless it gets horrible reviews. I'll eventually get Wolfenstein 2 down the line.
Stop making excuses. Breath of The Wild had way less loading and you didn't have to wait over 10 secs when it happened. Stardew Valley had longer loading times, it's a much smaller game. There is less going on and it is far from as graphically advanced but still it has longer load times.
I would be very surprised if it couldn't be patched.
I noticed that too. I'm sure it could be improved.
I hope we will see Fire Emblem, Metroid, No More Heroes and something that's not announced yet. But I wouldn't be surprised if next year will be lackluster in terms of Nintendo exclusive games as they have pushed out so many this year. Then they will make a comeback in 2019. It's not like we've not seen it before.
Really hope so too! If not, then the incredible popularity of Stardew Valley on Switch should justify Nintendo making one.
"EA, never fail to fail"
Love this
Haha almost all the comments are positive but disagrees are everywhere. Either someone has way too much time on their hands or people can't seem to handle that Odyssey is a total masterpiece of a game. Honestly with so many people on N4G loathing loot boxes, unpolished games and huuge day one patches, one would assume that everyone would praise Nintendo for doing nothing of that and delivering completely finished products.
I didn't experience a single bug in my whole 60 hour ...
