I respect your opinion, but stylized graphics age and look better at lower levels of technical detail than realistic graphics. All likely due to them naturally appearing fantastatical, so we don't gauge them against reality, whereas games that try to look realistic naturally draw that comparison and quickly look shoddy.

7 - 7.5 has been the standard of an "average" game for a while now, so no a 7 is not bad, it's just average, which the author states. This is just a high profile game that's getting the usual media attention, because people expected more and some fans can't let it go.
Reviews these days are not so much of a helpful tool as it is an opinion to what you're wanting to play. Just play the game, hit the demo, or grab a rental, and make up your own mind....

I'll admit EA do have good marketing so far, like they paid for "High Ground" Life DLC, but "it's a trap" springs to mind. Nevertheless, I am definitely on the fence for an EA game for the first time in years.
