If they get this to work - and work well - this would be a technical achievement that I would actually finance.
Very funny, "Dog." Say, I got a joke for you! Ready? Old Yeller.
Although I felt we would see this eventually, since it was as sure as death and taxes, I didn't think the Big N would show something so soon.
Nevertheless, a welcome teaser, for sure. Looking forward to the full trailer when it releases to find out more.
We're in the middle of changing times. E3 is no longer the main event anymore, and gameplay-only trailers are no longer worth the effort as there's a lot of opportunities to show gameplay at other moments in the year. It's something new in our industry we have to now get accustomed to.
I hear you. Thing is, this was just the teaser before the reveal; the big unveiling. The next time is when they're going to try to sell you their vision (thank you for using "vision" as a lot of people seem to forget that) and push new/existing IP, as well as features.
There's no doubt they have an uphill battle to win over the community after - basically - falling on their faces out the gate with the Xbox One reveal, so they're going to have to bring their A ga...
Not bad. Reminds me of a joke: so, Thanos walks into a jazz bar...
I'm sorry, but what exactly did you want them to do? Give you teasers for each launch title, full specs, and what the console looks like and features, so it gives their competition enough time to capitalize?
Like Sony, or any of the Big 3 for that matter, a simple tease is enough when the launch is (over) a year away. After all, you do need something for the next E3 or your own unveiling event.
Because an "angry" commentator is prone to be more exciting or funnier than a "normal" one (whatever normal is in that department).
Great, now how is my create-a-character supposed to be cooler than one of the Wild Stallions?
A lot of the journalists: I think the game is getting better. Instead of a big dark blur, I see a big light blur.
A lot of the community: There's nothing to see. I know EA's tricks, you know.
Me: Yet you're going to silently buy it and get ripped-off again you know. Ironic.
I would call my EA support scaled back as well.
You know, not many studios can get away with charging people retail game prices for a patch, so I would say "more power to them," but I think they've been drunk on that for a while.
There's potential, but I'm still on the fence.
Honestly, I much rather have another round with Kyle Katarn than - what feels like - his shameless rip-off (works on two levels) of Cal Kestis.
As happy as I am that Microsoft is pushing first-party titles out, I can't help but think this is a bit premature to start pushing titles now.
And if they couldn't help but release something, a single-player title would have benefited them more than a PvP game. After all, this generation is almost up for Xbox One and they're squandering hype for their new studios and talent, at least in my opinion.
Sure, there are hints of something deep, but so far I have yet to see anything that suggest "new genre." This just comes off like feeble marketing.
Although I believe legacy fighters should have been included in the full release, I can't help but smile seeing Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa in action.
Aren't all next-gen consoles the "best anyone has ever seen"? This would have been far more entertaining if he would have said: "those PS5 graphics - yeah - they're pretty ho-hum, but man once you really stare you notice something."
I very seldom suggest games to people, but this is a good price for a surprise of a game.
I suppose I'll just build levels since I lost all my friends to Mario Kart.
Unless it's a Switch, sure. Now if a Switch isn't your preference, then buy some games on either a PS4 or Xbox One that interests you in the coming holidays/sales and enjoy them on their new platforms.
E3 being a global fest of reveals and announcements, is usually best for devs and publishers to show what the game is about, instead of what the gameplay is about.
And while I understand where you're coming from, and admire your passion (as I rather have gameplay myself), I can no longer ignore the rising of the tide. I suppose we can agree to disagree.
