I'm actually playing Black Ops on my 360 daily in anticipation of Black Ops 2. Halo isn't worth my time, it runs at a pitiful 30fps.
Yea, this is GREAT! And I bet it will be chugging along at 30fps still even on new tech, but it's more Halo right?? This franchise needs to die.
If the game is soooo good, it shouldn't take DLC to get you back. I never had that problem with the Lord of RPG's, Dark Souls. I played the game through three times and I'm on the fourth playthrough and it just gets better and better as the games gets more difficult with each play through. I did pick up Artorias of the Abyss DLC of course and I appreciate it, though it wasn't needed to bring me back to my favorite game.
yea samed happened with Bungie and Halo. M$ wanted more and more and Bungie couldn't stand to look at that slop anymore so they jumped ship.
Demon's Souls and Dark Souls are pretty addicting, Skyrim not so much.
Guess you don't play it. They were supposed to be shut down at the end of May of this year for good but have been extended indefinitely as long as player interest remains consistent. They're alive and well as I write this response.
Nice review, however, the game still has a pretty strong online community. It's not huge, but it's by no means a ghost town. I invade people regularly still and have messages that get recommended all the time.

Black Ops 2 will smash this crap into the ground when it arrives, Halo servers will be a ghost town, save for the few fanatics that think it's a good FPS.

You won't be disappointed, I certainly haven't been. I agree how DLC is rarely done right and this is one exception for sure. The boss battles are very challenging, there's more loot to find, new areas to explore, new npc's to interact with, etc. It definitely feels like it was built to further expand on the lore of the game rather than taken out during development and planned as DLC. Any complaints about this DLC are unwarranted. More Dark Souls, which in my opinion is the best RPG this generation along with Demon's Souls, is such a treat for any true fan of the series. I could care less about trophies, just give me amazing battles against huge monsters like Sanctuary Guardian or epic duels against dark knights like Artorias, new areas to explore, and more loot to discover and I'm good.
