I think this was supposed to be DLC for the first game but the publisher decided to make it a sequel in hopes of getting back some of their investment.
they're trying to sell as much as possible before the 6's and 7's come rolling out.
If they had some real dev talent, this could be an amazing RPG like Dark Souls if done right. Just give it to From Software and let them handle it.
The online in Demon's Souls and Dark Souls spits in creativity's face.
Demon's Souls multiplayer aspect saved gaming, so much thought was put into it, it's pure genius.
I see a lot of hate for this game. The same was said about Dead Space 2, how it would be less survival horror and more third person shooter. The Devs proved everyone wrong and that game turned out great. That being said, I know DS2 didn't have the coop but I think it will be implemented well enough in DS3 and the game will still have a lot of thrills and scares.
COD4 came out in 2007 running at 60FPS on consoles and looked gorgeous, it was so ahead of it's time.
LOL I bought Elite for MW3 and got a good deal on DLC. I played, enjoyed, and got more than my time and money's worth from it. Too bad for Battlefield 3 fans, game screen tears anyway.
Did you see the potential for what they can do with that Kraken boss battle? This game will be an absolute beast!
It's good to see others who think like myself. I have personally poured 250+ hours each into Demon's Souls and Dark Souls. I have both the Black Phantom Edition and Deluxe Edition of Demon's Souls still sealed because I absolutely adore the games so much and had to have them. I still play both games regularly and I can't wait for Artorias of the Abyss DLC for Dark Souls!
In all fairness to RE4, it was the perfect blend of survival horror and action. It was also more focused on survival horror overall.
Dead Space is the best survival horror game this gen.

Dark Souls and Demon's Souls can't be compared to anything this entire gen, they're that much better in my opinion.
Demon's Souls and Dark Souls are hard intially, but once the gamer is trained to understand the gameplay by many many deaths, they are rewarded with an experience that just isn't found in other games. When everything clicks in Dark Souls and Demon's Souls it truly feels amazing, it's different that just playing a game with high difficulty.
This is a noob list because they used a pic of Demon's Souls for their #30 which is actually Dark Souls and Demon's Souls isn't #1 overall which it should be.
Why can't these games come to consoles??
Demon's Souls and Dark Souls will absolutely ruin your social life if you let them.
It's actually easier to v sync a game on PS3 from what I have seen, many games screen tear on 360 and are clean on PS3. Skyrim is a perfect example, tears like hell everywhere on 360 but it's v synced on PS3. Don't believe me??
