haha I remember it won a ton of best of E3 awards and what not, yet it turned out to be crap.
I know Demon's Souls would be my number one, that game was something else. The online alone makes it the best game this generation.
Demon's Souls and Dark Souls created a backlog in my collection. I have sunk over 600hrs into those games alone. I have about 7 other games to finish.

I'm really excited for next gen, PS4 looks amazing and I'm looking forward to the MS reveal. It will be interesting to see how MS responds to the PS4.

This game kicks Ninja Gaiden's ass, it's damn good. The gameplay is rock solid, it runs beautifully with a nice high framerate and zero screen tearing(on PS3 at least) and the entire concept of a futuristic cyborg ninja setting plays out very well in my opinion. Platinum Games did a great job here.
With another COD no doubt. I enjoy COD for the record but they need to create some new IP if they want me to buy their next console.
No boss battles from either Demon's Souls or Dark Souls which basically have THE BEST boss battles this generation of gaming? This list FAILS HARD.
For me, this game is a classic. I love the boss battles and the gameplay is top notch. I really like the villains in this game, it feels very much like a kill bill movie but in the MG universe. The only other game similar to this is No More Heroes and that game isn't polished like MG Rising. Well Done Platinum Games!
God of War will be amazing for sure, really hoping Bioshock Infinite lives up to the hype as well.
It definitely did this gen when you factor in the 7 years of Live at $50 per year.
Same thing with Crysis 2, no tearing on PS3 but it tears on 360. If they vsynced the 360 version it would probably run sub 20Fps. PS3 wins here.
No, I'm mad that I pay for my fucking internet and cable bill so I can access the internet and then I have to pay more so I can play a game I already payed for online when I already pay for online and cable! Most children who don't pay their own bills and only pay for Live and games won't understand this concept unfortunately.
A game/movie can be horrible and there will always be some people that think they're great, doesn't mean they actually are though, which is why gamers rely on so called professionals who are supposedly subjective. The overall consensus was this game sucked balls pretty hard.
This game is an 8 and nothing less. 7 is for an average game this gen, this game is far from average. It's near excellent in my opinion.
It's an awesome game. The boss battles feel similar to No More Hero's and the gameplay is flat out amazing. If you want a Kill Bill-esque game that's set in the future with lots of blood and limb cutting then look no further. Bought it day one and I'm glad I did, haven't even touched Crysis 3 except for the first 30 mins due to this game.
He probably lives in the Mid Western region of the US, selling the games probably covered the wedding, reception, and honeymoon.
