The developers of the Zelda franchise should study From Software and Dark Souls 1 & 2 very closely, it would help them make a better Zelda game. The best part of Zelda was the boss battles and dungeons, they need to take the garbage out and make the game darker and grittier. No more stupid towns and flutes, reinvent the franchise and make the entire game like the Dark World in the Zelda game for the Super Nintendo it was I believe.

Doubt it being it's free to play. Unless you want to buy every piece of armor I'd suggest buying Dark Souls 2, it has lots of unique armor and weapons. When you say character customization, I hope you weren't implying facial features etc and were in fact referencing the way your character will look and play in combat.
Naughty Dog did amazing things on PS3 between Uncharted and Last of Us. These individuals are truly phenomenal game developers. A very well deserved award, I'm playing through Uncharted 2 again and my god it's amazing. Feels like it just came out yesterday, it's just so well designed. Can't wait to see what they do on PS4.
GTA 5
Doesn't matter, I'm currently playing through Uncharted 2, yet again, and it's still blowing me away graphically and from a gameplay aspect. It came out in 2009! Talk about being ahead of it's time. I can't wait to see Uncharted on PS4 but there's no rush, for me at least. Still enjoying too many games on PS3.
Funny story, I bought Last of Us and lost interest in it initially. Bought GTA 5 and lost interest half way through so I decided to give Last of Us a try and it pulled me right in and I didn't play anything else until I finished it. Way more gripping story than GTA5(I have since completed the SP of GTA and was kind of disappointed) and the gameplay is so polished. The story was awesome and for a new IP, it should have taken GOTY.
Demon's Souls released in NA in 2009 unless you played the Japanese version in 2008. Hopefully From Software replayed Demon's Souls a lot while developing Dark Souls 2 so it has that same feel but in an open world. Cant wait!

There's definitely a possibility this console was rushed to compete with PS4. M$ aren't trustworthy when it comes to hardware, as proven by RROD with 360. I wouldn't be surprised if the XBOX ONE has a much higher failure rate than PS4. We'll soon see....
This is the only true XBOX ONE Exclusive, can't play it anywhere else and it's a flop. And people are talking bad about Killzone and Knack, LOL. If I were to purchase a new console right now it would definitely be PS4. Even Dead Rising 3 is basically a repetitive hack and slash game with pretty graphics, it gets old fast. TitanFall will be XBOX ONE's savior.

looks like being behind the other gaming companies in terms of tech finally caught up to them and bit them in the ass. They didn't offer any mind blowing games and everyone knew Sony and Microsoft's next gen systems were coming. Those systems are very superior to the Wii U and will offer games that appeal to more gamers. Perfect example is GTA5 not coming to the Wii U, that was a genius move by Nintendo.
The average consumer won't even know this and most likely won't care as it's not a deal breaker. For instance, if the XBOX ONE had a 75% failure rate, that would most likely be a deal breaker rather than a small resolution difference. It's not like PS4 is HD and XBOXONE is SD. Most gamers who only owned XBOX360 this gen will buy XBOX ONE and most gamers who only owned PS3 this gen will buy PS4. Most gamers who owned both will likely get both eventually.
No, it should be influenced by Dark Souls in terms of level design, monsters, weapon and armor variety. A good Dev team could still retain the feel of the original Zelda games while making it darker and a more mature experience.
