Same here, the game is that good. For me personally, it's better than The Last of Us by far. I think everything from the setting(beautiful alternate historical London setting), to the characters(Especially Gallahad though all four knights are awesome, also Nikola Tesla!), the weaponry(Thermite Rifle anyone?), the unparalleled graphics, the tight gunplay(feels like a mix of Gears of War and Uncharted 2, I LOVE IT), the half breeds(wish there were more battles against them! I love werewolve...
No, it indicates real gamers care about great games. Just like Demon's Souls for PS3, word of mouth alone will sell this game...
Me too! There is also one on a table early in the game with a stake through it's chest, I believe it's in the hospital section possibly. It looks sick. Gallahad comments about the corpse undergoing experiments or something of that nature and if you look close at the corpse on the table you will see it's a vampire with a stake through its chest. So if you look closely early on, you will find it. So awesome.
All they have to do is add a bit more gunplay as it's so much fun and polished, especially with the Thermite Rifle that gun is EPIC. Also, the sequel needs more fights against the half-breeds and it would be a perfect game. As is, it's damn near perfect. I can't wait for the sequel, hopefully it makes a late 2017 release, fingers crossed.
I wholeheartedly agree with this comment, very well said. I too own both and found Ryse to be a very entertaining game with a unique setting and visceral combat. Hopefully The Order follows suit.
That's the difference. The media loves Miyazaki so the game will get universal love, guaranteed. Plus, lots of rabid souls fans out there like myself.
Ryse was a good game. It was a new IP that was out at launch and just like The Order there isn't another game out there with the same setting. Ryse deserved anywhere from a 7-9 depending on how much you enjoyed the game. No way in hell was it a 4-6. The Order seems to be getting the same treatment and I'm not surprised. It's just so obvious and pathetic it has become laughable to try and read some of these "reviews" from so called "professionals."
That's because haters have a hard-on for this game. There is nothing else that looks like it or has the same amazing setting. They are mad, they are doing everything possible to make people not buy it. It's really sad actually. Too many liars with psychotic agendas against a fucking video game, it's pathetic.
This is a well written review, I can't understand how we can have a review like this and a 1/5 from someone else. Someone is lying, there is no other explanation. If you hated this game from the get go, why review it? I truly believe gaming journalism is nearly non-existent and at an all time low. Game Trailers gave this game an OBJECTIVE review and it's right there in the write-up. Same as Gaming Trend. Most of the low reviews I have read are so fucking bad they should get a 1/10 for...
This is the only objective site left I swear. I usually always agree with Game Trailers. I Lost faith in Gamespot after they gave Destiny a 6/10 which is a joke. IGN has some sort of agenda giving The Order 6.5/10 yet Evolve gets a 9? I find that hard to believe. Anyhow, if Gametrailers would have given The ORder a 5/10 I would have been worried but now I feel much better.
XBone only fans want this game to fail, gamers want to play great games. If it sucks, oh well but I really hope it's good.
Critics were saying the same thing before Dead Space came out(less hype but still hated on)and they hadn't even played it. Look how that turned out. I expect the same with The Order.
Or have a job for that matter?
The sequel will have both coop and mp if this is successful, similar to what happened with Uncharted 1 to Uncharted 2.
Bring it on! I New Game +++++ Demon's Souls and I still play now and then. Plan on doing the same with this beast come March.
The Order in February followed by the masterpiece that will be Bloodborne just one month later. I'm so excited I can't take it anymore!
I have been praising this game since the first announcement at E3. It's been a long wait and within roughly 3 weeks I will have it. Everything about this game is unique from the setting, characters, monsters, graphics & gameplay. I hope the shooting and gameplay is similar to Gears of War but with stronger characters and a more intriguing story. I also hope there's a lot of fighting against the half breeds more so than human enemies. I'm sure The Order will get crucified by mo...
They obviously had to borrow from better games to stay relevant. Halo is starting to get old and lose fans, they had to make it more like Titanfall and COD or risk not gaining new fans of the franchise. Very simple concept, I think the game sucks but to each their own.
Well you user name says it all, now go play the latest Sonic game. What was that again, Sonic Boom?
Seems like a fair score for The Order, for me it's nothing less than a 9 though. I can understand an objective reviewer who may not be into this kind of game yet they can still recognize its quality giving it an 8. It's truly a great new IP and I can't wait for the sequel.
