Dude do you even know what you are getting for those 250$? Show me a 250$ product with a 5" OLED Touch screen, having a Quad Core chip, having 2 touch panels, a dedicated GPU. The 3DS isn't even a quarter as powerful as the PSV and Nintendo was earning a hell of a profit from each since they could drop 80$ so early.
It's already been confirmed that Sony will be selling the Vita at a loss at launch, how the hell do you expect them to drop 50 more $?
The 3DS was never worth 250$. No matter how much the Nintendo fanbase tried to defend it, it was not worth the price tag(Esp with no decent games at launch). The thing just dropped 1/3rd it's price in 6 months which is no joke and Nintendo knows something really went wrong.
I still don't understand the move of launching the 3DS so early without any games. They could have easily launched the 3DS during the holiday season with a Mario game along with Zelda or some other...
The last game sold nearly 4 million units and it also came out near Call of Duty, so I don't get why people still think it's such a big deal to analyze pre-orders. Even though only 1.5 million people participated, it was PSN's largest beta.. So definitely more people got to experience UC3 than UC2...

All in all I loved the beta. I never really got into the UC2 multi-player as I never gave it a chance. But after playing UC3, I am all hyped for the game. Day 1 buy.
It's a 1.6GB compressed Beta, the final product will be much better looking. You don't really believe that the game will look worse than it's predecessor do you?
A better comparison would be UC2 beta vs UC3 beta... Being a part of both, UC3 looks much better than UC2 did in it's beta. The final product will be much better looking.
I love the beta!! They just need to to add more damage when you place a headshot and a few tweaks here and there. The platforming makes it really unique among other TPS. You are never 'safe' anywhere as there is always a window or doorway to watch your back and so it really eliminates camping. So far, multi-player seems to be among the best out there. And knowing ND, the single player is gonna be even more epic.
The 2 towers at the opposing end make up for great Sniping spots. If you have a buddy to watch your back while sniping, then it really pulls the advantage in your side.
I personally love the chateau map... The close corridors make for good gun fights.
The previous Console war was really good with great details and absolutely no bias. PS3 won based on I think 12 rounds and each of them was well made and explanatory. Even the motion control wars was good and ended up in a tie. So don't BS without reading or watching the videos.
I think the developers should add in more perks for people who buy it new like give a discounted DLC or something on those lines rather than making them pay for online. But with that said, a lot of people cried for XBL paid service and yet people pay for it, so they just went all out and clamped the online part out.
And if you look at it, this is hardly a risk taken by the developer or Sony cause the people who buy new, are gonna buy new regardless and even if 2nd hand sales ...
So if you only had 1 console of choice to buy this gen, would you have really bought only the Wii? Don't say you can get a PS3/360 and Wii together, I am talking to a 20 year old guy and asking would he nly be pleased by a Wii this gen judging as majority of the 'core' games stay aloof from it.

You should have waited. Even if tomorrow Sony comes out and announces PS4, I won't buy it till there is substantial software from the 1st party. 3DS for 1 really makes no sense to buy at this point of time. There is hardly any software out there apart from Zelda, I would have waited for the big hitters to come out. Who knows, in order to stay competitive when PSV launches, the price would drop..? Just set the filters to 'Most popular' or 'favorites' or something and then select the kill em all missions filter... Lots of good missions out there. Some made by Sukerpunch and some by users... Give it some time, everyday I find 2-3 really good levels like the one's in the game... Eventually the cream will come out on top.
Similar thing happened to me while fighting the Hivelord.. It was charging at me and just when he was bout to headbutt me, I jumped and it flung me miles up vertically... I mean like higher than any buildings... But to my advantage I came down hard on his sorry @ss by using the thunder drop hehe...
^^^ this year alone PS3 has had more better exclusives than the 360 with games like Killzone 3, LBP2, Infamous 2 already gettin critical acclaim.. Even this fall line up of PS3 looks more robust with UC3 (sequel of the most GOTY garnered game and it also took most of E3 awards over Gears 3), Resistance 3, twisted metal and so on....
Don't talk about quality on PS3s front... We've got more quantity, more choices and more quality...
And if sales number...
I dunno. At this point of time, the handheld market is seeming really fickle. Majority of the handheld market consists of casual owners and most of those seem to have jumped ship to iPhones and other smartphones now. People don't really like to spend upwards of 30-40$ for a handheld game when they get an alternative for 1-5$ off the Appstore. I know the quality isn't same, but people really don't care. I am even worried about Vita's success for the same reason.
