Same reason the PS2 was outselling the PS3 for a while. Costs less and has a large library of games.
The yen being too strong was also responsible for Nintendo losing a lot of money in the past.
If something costs 1000円 yen to make, but you have to sell is for $100.00 you are already losing money. if $1=90円. Of course for a while now the exchange rate had been between 78 and 85 yen. So Japanese companies were really struggling. They would have to raise the price of their products in foreign countries. However, if they were to do that, then their product becomes less appealin...
That's great. I think it's best when former game developers are in charge.
Though people think he has really screwed up, I think once the big titles start coming and the Wii U comes out and it starts selling, I think people will see that Iwata was the best choice. After all, who else would have aggressively tried to get the Nintendo brand back in line with the company everyone associates with JRPGs? Though not cemented yet, the market seems to be shifting in that dir...
Indeed. An option for both would probably be best.
I know I'm going to get tons of disagrees for this, but I REALLY hope that the new Zelda with use Wii motion plus again.
I really can't wait any longer for this to release. They announced this just as I was thinking about giving this game another go.
I hope the games will be cross compatible. I really don't want to have to keep buying the same games for each system.
I really think that Indie devs just might be Nintendo's ace in the hole this gen. Sony and Nintendo are really making it easy. Wonder if Microsoft will be so forthcoming. They used to be very Indie friendly... until the changed the layout of their system menu...
I really hope it's him!
How can anyone disagree with that? Those are facts!
Fact 1: Monster Hunter is a system seller.
Fact 2: 3DS has a huge install base
Fact 3: It's a mutually beneficial arrangement for both companies.
Facts aren't things one can disagree with. Regardless of whether or not you believe, be it religious where one CAN ignore reason and facts for whatever reason, or any other reason, the fact is that /facts/ hold true no matter what.
The same can be said of any system. Anyone can go out an pick one good month for a system and one bad year for a system and then say something similar.
I just want Lufia and Lufia 2.
Anyone else remember those games?
I can play it on an emulator, but I WANT to pay for it!
Time will tell.
I think the information about PS4 not playing used games is false, however.
I agree on the debate should stop part; however, I think it's rather simplistic to say the the 3DS is only for "Nintendo" gamers. It, just as the Vita, both have much to offer for people of different tastes.
Please don't make Nintendo fans look bad with fanboyish comments like "Nintendomination"
No one is dominating anyone. All of the systems offer something unique and fun. That's why I own both a 3DS and a Vita.
At Fluffy poo.
Go play Fire Emblem.
I think you should really just read what "dark-hollow" has said and really take it to heart. And no... no Uncharted has a complex narrative. They are popcorn movies. I love Uncharted as much as the next guy, however, I'm not about to hold it up as an example of complex narrative.
You should really re-evaluate the term "mature-oriented games."
Most of the time, people just us...
The funny thing about that argument is that only 13 years olds think they have to play "mature games" to be cool.
Mature gamers play all types of games and don't care about the ratings.
Case in point... I tried to get some kids to play Legend of Zelda: Windwaker. The game is rated E for everyone. However, it was too difficult for them and figuring everything out on their own was just too much.
Well said.
Why would they? Monster Hunter is a system seller, and 3DS already has a big install base. It's win win for Capcom and Nintendo.
Off topic.
Love your avatar. Gravity Rush is awesome!
