Well, actually one. Trine 2.

And yes, you are absolutely, correct. I'm just hanging a lantern on the fact that people ignore the fact that the Wii U has a bit of grunt behind it.

Hipters. I know a lot of them, unfortunately.

It's not that Nintendo is becoming irrelevant as a hardware maker, it's that "gamers" are becoming more and more apathetic toward quality fun and level design in anything that isn't "dark," "gritty," or "realistic." "Gamers"are becoming too concerned with the opinions of their peers to enjoy stellar games. Since hating on Nintendo is the cool thing to do, "gamers" refuse even to allow themselves to enjoy ANYTHING made by ...

That's crazy! People like you wouldn't play a Nintendo console if you were given one, you are so drunk on the kool-aid. How entitled have gamers become that they expect THE greatest developers to release a system that costs them money to make and then sell it for so low as 249.99 or 199.99? What is wrong with you people?

Gamers it seems are beginning to cease to exist. Replaced with petty and entitled fan boys. The more I come onto N4G, the more you people make me sic...

It has a pretty good library for only being out for a year now. I already have 20 games, and to have 20 good games in 12 months is not a bad haul by any means. Of course fanboys will disagree and still proclaim there is nothing.

By the way, the whole, played it already, or I can get it elsewhere argument is stupid, because of course multiplats can be played elsewhere. Of course Wii U also has the most exclusives, and also has the most 1080p 60fps games coming out so far.

@snookies, The large amount of eDRAM shared between the GPGPU and the CPU eliminates the need for the extra RAM. Believe it or not, a highly customized CPU beats out an off the shelf mobile phone/tablet CPU, especially when said CPU is only able to use half of its' cores for actual gaming.

"The Wii U uses less RAM and loses less cycles than the XB1 and PS4. Smaller is better, as clock rate is govern by speed of light.

x86 is very inefficient today. It...

I don't think Trophy support would really help, and as far as better specs are concerned, if developers actually tried harder to work with the architecture, they could make games look almost as good as the PS4 since the hardware is designed to do significantly less than the PS4 is. The problem is that the third party relations problem prevents developers from actually having enough of a budget to work with Nintendo's current gen console to make that happen.

It's a Nintendo console, do it's guaranteed to have an amazing exclusive lineup.

Sounds more like good PR and free advertising to me.

The launch gaps are over now, though.

I know how easy it is to think that Nintendo games from old franchises don't bring anything new to the table; however, anyone who actually honestly delves into their games know that just isn't the case.

They'll be pretty good, but the libraries will also be practically identical. At least with the Wii U you are getting a unique experience. Since I already have a gaming PC, it'll be a while before I can justify delving into the PS4 or Xbone, though those days will come.

@Darth
I'm sorry, but how are Nintendo fans the worst?
As far as I've seen, Sony fanboys are the worst. They have the most trolls, constantly pouncing all over every Xbone/WiiU article trash talking it, and trying to prove that Xbone/Wii U isn't as poweful as it actual is. They are downright abusive, and in some cases absolutely dismissive, which is in some regards worse. I'm sorry, but while there are a few absolutely stupid Nintendo fanboys as well(like that ...

@DK
Except it would still be the "smart" choice, since it's the most bang for your buck at the moment. Doesn't necessarily make it the best choice, but it does make it the "smart" choice.

I don't mean that there won't be any ways to optimize. What I mean is that we will definitely not see an improvement in fidelity like we did with the evolution of Uncharted to Uncharted 2.

There are no longer any hidden nooks and crannies, since those nooks and crannies of power have been discovered long ago.

And to those who disagreed, you guys are obviously fanboys that don't understand that the reason PS3 games looked so good later in its life ...

I'm just pointing out hypocrisy. It really is about the games.

4598d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

I like how Sony fanboys criticize Nintendo consoles and fans regarding hardware, and Nintendo fans say it's about the games. Then when PC gamers call out sony fanboys by saying that PS4 isn't hot stuff either, Sony fanboys proclaim, it's about the games, not the hardware.

Hypocrites.

That was beautiful. Thank you for that.

4599d ago 4 agree1 disagreeView comment

Sorry, but Nintendo would never have to do that. Even if the system doesn't sell very well(a la Gamecube or a la N64), they still make a lot of money on their software alone. The fact that they keep going in the black, while its "competitors" keep going red, I think what we have is the case of "actual success" versus "perceived success."
