Wow. That's messed up. Ubisoft.... go to hell. It took that long to release a game that's several times more powerful than a PS3 and easier to program for, and it's only 20fps? That's messed up.

Probably not. Too many licensing issues involved since Microsoft owns Rare now. That's why the DS version of the game had to have roster changes.
I think there absolutely should be a remake, and I am a purist. So I think there is a right way and a wrong way. the wrong way is making everything look like Advent children. The right way is rendering all of the static backgrounds in real time 3D, remaking all of the character models in the chibi(super deformed(small)) style, all of the battle models in Advent children Style, and all of the serious style cutscenes in Advent Children style. That way the game still has charm, the funny awkward...
Using the same characters does not mean making the same games. Even just within Mario games, there is a ton of variation.
