Nintendo's DSi had more ram and a CPU twice as strong as the DS lite, and also had exclusive software and a slew of downloadable games not available on the original DS; however, we never considered that a new generation.

@XBLSkull No Wii U needed? As a PC gamer, I can say that without a doubt, if you have a PC, then a Wii U is the only one that is truly necessary. Sony has some nice exclusives, so it makes a good second console, but Wii U has hands down the most console exclusives and has the kind of games that just are not available on PC or other consoles. So..... yeah.

Because they're not making a new system. The new CPU is mostly just for improving OS/Mii verse/Browsing performance, and so the system can multitask better.

When Nintendo releases their next gen handheld it probably won't be until at least 2017.

That's really nice to hear! I'm really enjoying the community~

This is exactly the game Nintendo needs to release in the west in order to change its image. If they don't bother releasing this here, they have only themselves to blame for the perception that their console doesn't have the most well rounded library.

lol
Well, competition makes things better for everyone, and Sony sure doesn't advertise the Vita.

And have fun waiting for some of the best PC exclusives. See what I just did there? Console gamers are always under the impression that only consoles get exclusives.

By the way, aren't a lot of console gamers excited about getting Diablo III? Maybe someday you'll get Wow or Civilization. Besides, PC gamers don't mind waiting longer for titles because at any given time, we have access to a library of games that goes all the way back to the very first games. Univer...

I'm sorry that's what they'll have to settle for. Be a good parent and get them into pc/Nintendo gaming. No need to don't their growth with such limitations.

You know, I could also say, if you cared about graphics, buy a pc, instead of using dated tablet pc hardware, but then you probably wouldn't understand how that's exactly the same as what you just said. Console gamers really should stop arguing about power for just this reason. That said, it's plain insulting for developers to crap all over a system like third parties do to Nintendo.

I did check my facts before I commented. Read the numbers I posted.

By the September 30th following its launch, the Wii sold 13.17 units worldwide, by the December 31 2007, they had sold 20.13 million units.

By this time in the PS2's life cycle though, Sony had sold 19.57 units. So PS2 is the historic record holder, with the Wii in second(distant second)

This isn't about what's a "joke" or not though. When you use the term "historic" it needs to actually be historic. that said, are you ignoring the part where I mentioned the PS2? Man, console fanboys take things so personally. I wasn't even criticizing any consoles here. Only word choice.

That said, that "joke" still managed to put the other consoles to shame, while PS3 lost Sony billions. So, take that how you will. Say what you migh...

Doesn't something only count as "historic" if it actually beat a record? It's definitely good compared to the Xbone in the Wii U, but it's still considerably lagging behind the Wii of last gen, and the PS2 2 gens ago. Let's not get ahead of ourselves here.

Yes. F#*$ the tier lists and the uber hardcore smash community altogether. They take the fun out of everything and are so hung up on Melee that nothing will ever touch it.

Mario Kart fans love the remastered retro tracks. And every Mario Kart game at least for the past 10 years has had 8 cups. Now we're getting 4 more cups and more characters for only $14. So, 50% more tracks for 23% of the cost of the game. That's a deal.

4176d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

This guy is going on about Mario Kart 8 having half of the tracks being remakes. Last time I checked though, half of the tracks in nearly all Mario Kart games are retro tracks.

About the roster.... He complains about it being lacking, and yet, isn't this by far the largest roster yet?

Also, Nintendo is actually doing DLC right. The main game is a full game. The DLC adds a considerable amount of content to that full game, as does so at a great value.

I just pre ordered my copy~

There very much is a deal. that said, the 3DS install base is too big to ignore now, so even when the deal ends, I'm reasonably certain that the main games will remain on the 3DS.

@Shinox
And yet, they have those great franchises. So you better get on board if you want to play. My friends and I don't care about what console Monster hunter or Fatal Frame is on, I bought the consoles to play the games. I have Nintendo and Sony consoles, so I could really care less which systems the games come out on.

By the way, in the case of Fatal Frame, Nintendo actually co-owns the IP, and actually owns the controlling part of it. So better jump aboard th...
