I both agree and disagree with ODST.
ODST did not deliver as a standalone game.
But it definitely delivered as a DLC addon, which is what the game was /supposed/ to be in the first place!!! If it stayed DLC, then wow! What an addon!!!
It's too bad too. Games that aren't in a more realistic style, just don't perform as well with the non Nintendo crowd.
I really liked the Rebel Assault games. Never played the fighting game, but I'm heard nothing but awful things.

What you might not know. Is that Call of Duty 4 on the Wii was not advertised at all. The extent of the advertising was limited to VERY limited web advertising. Most people didn't even know the darn thing existed. And yet, it still managed to sell 1 million plus. I'd say that's pretty impressive.
In fact all of the Call of Duty games on Wii sold more than 1 million copies. If any game sells that much. Then it's definitely wort...
I don't know why so many people are disagreeing.
If this was a pc discussion, there would be no issues.
The game designed for the newer hardware, will look better than than the game for older hardware. It's not a Sony or Microsoft thing. It's just a newer tech thing.
...I know I'm going to get disagrees for this statement.
..and yes, I do recognize that the systems, being totally different architectures, are not alway...
Samus is not a simple avatar. She is a human being with a past. Just like any other human being..... except she was raised by bird folk after her colony was destroyed, and then given Chozo gene therapy to compensate for the somewhat harsh Chozo homeworld. But other than that...
Anyway, contrary to what the author says, I actually liked liked her internal monologues.
Such a terrible tragedy.
At least members of ensemble reformed there own studio: "Robot Entertainment"
They are developing the new free to play online "Age of Empires" game. I'd still rather have a new full retail game, though.
Gotta' admit. I was pretty shocked at first when I saw the price for the Ipad. But then I remembered something. It's Apple.
Apple fanboys.... they'll pay anything as long as it has the Apple logo.
How is mixing a little CoD flare a bad thing?
Anywho, either way, this is shipping up to be an awesome title. Preordered my copy back in August.
Ah. Doom 3. Kinda' like the Crysis of the day. Had everyone crying because the could barely run it. ...at the time, I remember being happy that I could at least run the game at 640x480 with medium effects.... until I noticed huge frame drops when more was happening on the screen.
What an incredible feat in it's day. That, and Halflife 2, truly paved the way for next gen graphics and atmosphere.

The average review scores for games on a system doesn't really matter.
Some stupid game like "Deca Sports" or some other terrible shovelware title, doesn't make a game like Zelda: Twilight Princess, Okami, No More Heroes 2 a bad game.
By the way, I bet you feel really cool, slick, and "grown up," calling the Wii a gamecube with motion control.
It's based off a similar architecture, yes. But the th...
Just installed it, and watch a couple episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Very nice indeed.
People complaining about nintendo 'rehashes' obviously haven't been gamers for long. I grew up with those franchises, and I'm always looking forward to the next go 'cause I can count on solid gameplay
It was really nice. Beautiful music too. I must admit, even though they were completely random characters, I got a little misty eyed at when the sister helped her little brother escape the orcs.
I think move is a tough sell for families, anyway.
Wii, comes with 2 games and a controller and is ready to go. You only need to invest in the extra controllers. And those controllers, that come with Wii motion plus, are the same price as move. But doesn't require a PSeye like peripheral, or the purchase of additional games. Plus, families are already more familiar with the Nintendo name, and Wii in general. That in itself is quite a hurdle.
However,...
FFVIII Intro should be number 1!
To me, that's still the best game intro ever.
Yeah! Right in the....with a..... wait, what are talking about again?
Of course they are important to most people. Why do you think there is so much Wii bashing? Folks won't even give the thing thing a chance. Even when they think they are, in the back of their head, there's always that pre formed idea, that they won't like the game because the graphics "suck."
Sad pandas indeed.
Nintendo bet that most people cared more about gameplay over graphics. I really think they underestimated how shallow peop...
Very true, a lot games have obviously had budget constraints, but are great none the less.
Well, before Lair reviews came out, that was considered one of the must own launch titles, if I remember correctly.
