Wtf, I remember playing it free on gametap last year when I couldn't find my Fallout disc. Luckily I eventually found the disc, since Gametap doesn't let you add mods, patch the game, and you gotta go through some stupid advertisement video each time you launch the game. And trust me, you'll want the patch, it fixes some major bugs and take out an annoying time limit that doesn't give you time to do all the stuff in the game.
You act like you know everything, it couldn't have been my Bluray drive since awhile after getting YLOD I got pissed off and started hitting the on and eject buttons really fast and it turned back on again for about 20 minutes. Enough time for me to load up Far Cry 2, play a little, eject the disk, turn it off. An hour later, I turned it back on to play some more, and bam, YlOD again. Does that sound like my Bluray drive died???
@Soda Popinsky
"He had to wait six weeks until he got the game he was playing back, like you have to with $ony?"
I got mine back in 5 days... I called on Monday, got the box and sent it on Tuesday, it got there on Thursday morning, I got a new on on Friday. 3 of my friends got RROD before and they all had to wait around 2-3 weeks. But it probably depends on where you live, I'm in the US.
Don't worry, they'll send you another 60GB with the emotion chip. If you're worried about your saves, back them to an external hard drive.
"for PS3 gamers in Belgium there is another reason to buy a new PS3 instead: you have to post your PS3 to SONY yourself. You'll have to pay for a special box (€30) and the Post doesn't handle your PS3 with care: 10% chance your PS3 doesn't survive the delivery."
Wtf, that must suck. Over here in the US, Sony sent me a box for free, and I put the PS3 in and sent it back.
It's not always the Bluray drive, when it happened to me it was my power supply.
@Muderdolls
Yeah the Browser is real f'ed up, it's normal for it to freeze like that. That's why I only use for emergency if for some reason my computer isn't working, or I'm just to lazy to turn it on and I happen to have the PS3 on.
You're right!!! If any of you have played Escape from Butcher Bay, you would know Riddick is one of the most badass characters ever.
I thought Killzone 2 would have lag too before I got it. Of all the time I've played it though (I think 25 hours single-player and about 55 hours online) I haven't had any lag or framerate dips apart from the occassional person dying 5 seconds later online. Amazing game. I'm surprised the engine wasn't on that list.
Strange I don't see EA anywhere on my L4D PC box??? Am I missing something???
Edit: They distrubuted it to retailers, I wouldn't really call that making it.
@Darkeyes
"The engine can render 32 players with those graphics on screen without any drop in the frame rate...Ya do that with the UE3"
I have Unreal Tournament 3 on PS3, and while graphics might not be Killzone 2, the lighting is really good and the textures are some of the best, and it only has 16 players. I loaded up a bunch of mods while playing (Titan, PC Speedx2, Excessive Overkill, just to name a few) on a custom map which is in space so you can see ever...
This reminds me of Mass Effect's originally planned DRM scheme of having to re-register it every 10 days, and if you forgot you wouldn't be able to play it anymore. Lucky for us, they decided to ditch that idea. But I think this is even worse. What happens when they eventually drop support for the game? You wont be able to play it? What if you're internet dies out while you're playing? Unless they change this, screw C&C 4.
"INFamous comes with the Uncharted 2 multiplayer beta."
Only if you pre-ordered the game at Best Buy.
Shadow of the Colossus is definitely going to be messed up. The working title is Colussus and the Hendersons, and the director is the guy who directed Street Fighter: Legend of Chun-Li. His movies are as bad as Uwe Bolles movies.
No, I have it on PC.
I haven't read much about the new DLC, but does anyone know if it's gonna be free like the first one?
wtf it looks like someone set the graphics settings all the way down, that looks awful.
@Nelson M
"Because i can sure Name 100 PS3 Games that do support Trophys"
No you cant, because 93 retail games support trophies.

Unless you count Japan exclusive games, that brings the count to EXACTLY 100...and if you count PSN games that makes it 158. For anyone who somehow disagrees, count it yourself.

Laptops overheat quickly though. When I play games, my laptop gets pretty hot, even though my 8800 runs the games pretty damn smooth.
