3D PC? All you need is a half-decent graphics card and the Nvidia 3D Vision Kit and you're set. I think they have a monitor bundle for $500 or $600.
"All that can be done and more by my 2 year old GTX260... I expect more form the ps4..."
Yeah, but the point is, all the PC games we're running aren't pushing the PC AT ALL, except for really Crysis and Metro 2033. When the next generation of consoles are released, presumably with something along the lines of a GTX 460s strength, we know they'll be pushing that thing as hard as they can.
"And 8xAF too."
8xAF? Y...
"Why would you want 120fps when your eyes can't even decode that much information?"
It can, trust me. The only reason you can't see it because most TVs run at 60Hz, or upscale to 120/240. You'd need a "3DTV" (AKA, actual 120Hz TV) or 120Hz monitor, along with a game running past 60fps, which, as of now, is only obtainable on PC.
Then again, there are still people who believe what Wikipedia says about the human eye not seeing ba...
You will see a difference, especially with the screen size of most HDTVs. There's a reason on PC, you never see 30 inch monitors using 1920x1200, but 2560x1600 instead. Size/resolution ratio.
"One of the advantages of these super high resolution displays is that there is little or no need for any antialiasing."
Actually, there is. Aliasing is going to be noticeable no matter how high the resolution on any screen size, because of the way games ar...
Lawl, that dude trolled everyone. Just look at the thread.
"Sure you pay more but they are really powerful gaming PCs."
"- 2 x ATi Radeon HD 5570 Graphics Card "
"£1,499.99"
Jesus Christ, that's TERRIBLE for that price. I could 2x SLI GTX 460s, have a nice CM HAF 932/Antec 1200 tower, get a good sound card, get a motherboard that supports USB 3.0, and even then it wouldn't cost that much.
Yeah, the X-ray engine definitely wasn't designed properly for modern systems. I can say though that the lighting is amazing though, especially on Call of Pripyat during lightning storms.
Except their main audience (the PC crowd) isn't going to care about any of those games.
"Well single player only games should cost less since there's no replay value, unless its open world/has lots of replay value."
Ugh, I hate when people say this. This is why we have 6 hour games and tacked on multiplayer, and why games quality standards have dropped, and we have sequels ever year. Gamers this gen just drop a game once they're done once the single-player is over.
"Doom 3 like 10 times
Far Cry like 10 times
"Wow
That is one Ugly game, counterstrike 2.0, lol, naw its not that ugly, but man, it sure doesn't look pretty"
.....
"Play4Free"
That's all I have to say. Don't whine, anyone who has money would play Battlefield 2 anyways.
"Ill prob compare it to the PC version to it as well to do some studies"
*facepalm*
I find it hard to be genuinely scared of anything that's not Silent Hill 1-4 (mostly 1-3). Every other "scary game" just uses jump scares. Silent Hill, I was scared even though I knew that the creatures were right in front of me.
Dead Space is pretty tense though sometimes, especially on the highest difficulty where you know all it takes is a swipe or two to kill you, you go into panic mode.
Our country is full of hypocrites. Just look at how stupid our president is, and how the "army" isn't actually accomplishing anything. They're there for the oil, and the war economy DOES exist.
"ZOMG YOU CAN KILL AMERICANS IN THIS GAME, PLEASE BAN FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR CHILDREN! Oh, killing Arabs you say? It's fine."
Hypocrites, everyone here in the US automatically assumes a middle-eastern or Muslim is a "TEEERRROORRIIIRI...
You didn't see the article about the Sony Store? It says November 30 on there. That's as official as it gets.
Beta? They've been kiosking it pretty much everywhere for the past year, I'm pretty sure that's been enough to test the bugs. Plus, patches can take care of everything these days.
And I don't know what a beta would be testing, the game is too huge. It's like having a beta for an open-world RPG, it just doesn't make any sense. The only thing a beta would be good for is online play *shudders at the thought of Prologue*.
The thread is hilarious
"I was trying out the Kinect Dance Central game and I was getting hot so I took off my clothee. I had no idea that the game was going to take A BUNCH OF PICTURES OF ME WHILE DANCING WITH NO CLOTHES ON!!! I can go back and look at these pictures but HOW DO I DELETE THEM?!!! HELP!!!!"
"Actually, DC automatically sends the pictures to a online server where the photos can be viewed by the registered harmonix community."...

"The way the car crashes is really something to be ashemed of. The damage seems randomly generated *.*"
Just how does it look randomly generated? At the beginning, the clearly pushes the other car into the railing, and when he goes in reverse cam, the front is damaged. Makes sense to me.
How about, try posting pictures that are large enough to actually show the differences clearly.

4XMSAA looks better than MLAA. You can CLEARLY see the difference here. Specifically, look at the power lines and wires, and how 4XMSAA ...
"I mean look at the specs of a PC compared to a PS3 these days, and the PC can barely do anything better than a PS3 graphically, imagine what a whole generation better will look like?"
1920x1200 at over 100fps on alot of these console ports, takes a LOT of processing power. The multiplatform devs never try to take advantage of the PC though. No game should ever be running at that FPS on a mid-range GPU.
Oh, and Crysis and Metro 2033. That's all ...
"It stops making a difference in the 30-60 range."
More like, it stops making a difference when you're hitting solid 60fps. 30fps honestly doesn't feel that good.
