Yeah, it's some kind of semi-preview copy. The guy got the ending movie after only 4 A-spec races, and certain features say "This feature is not available in the version." But the whole game is there, all the events, all the cars, all the tracks.
I thought the cop part was pretty lame (really, the hollywood-music ruins it), but the racers part... oh, that gave me sooo many memories of Hot Pursuit 2, it was perfect. The music too :D
"Guess I don't blame em, South Korea didn't accept StarCraft 2 which pretty much killed tons of sales potential over there."
Um, alot of SC1 legendary pros have begun migrating to Starcraft 2 already (NaDa, Boxer), and the prize pools for the SC2 tournaments such as GSL are waaay bigger. So are the players in the tournaments.
You guys need to visit the GTPlanet forums more often. Here's all the screens not in the article:

The rollover was pretty bad. I can only hope for the day when GT has crashes like this, but with GTs graphics...

He's playing in arcade mode, which apparently has no damage, look at the GTPlanet forums, the guy posting these videos is there. He's still trying to figure out how to get the damage on, even the Best Buy demo had better damage.
The Driving Force GT has a rubbery feel compared the the G27s leather feel. It's also a bit loud compared the the G27. The paddle and sequential shifters also feel kinda like toys.
Obviously, price has alot to do with this too. Don't get me wrong, the DFGT is actually a great wheel, and I used it for a pretty long time, but if you have the money, there's no comparison to the G27/G25. Still, $80 or so for a wheel is a steal.
"COCKPIT?
Standard cars do indeed have a cockpit/dashboard view, just not nearly as detailed as the premium cars."
"not this shit again....
EVERY CAR HAS A F***ING COCKPIT!!!!
its just the premium cars that are ultra pretty"
No they don't. Read it yourself from the official site.

Lawl @ how other sites love to cherry-pick one line and take it out of context to start a flame war. And for once, Kotaku is telling the truch.
And this is kinda unrelated to the article, but I feel like sharing this with everyone, since it's been hours and nothing has shown up on the front page about these videos, and I know everyone here is hungry over any bit of GT5 they can see. Enjoy :D

Too bad the GTX 580 costs $560, so unless you want a $800+ PS4, I wouldn't consider it.
"In about 2012-13 this gpu's chip price should drop low enough & it will be considerably customized to reach sony's graphical output goals so it could be implemented on the PS4's new mother board for a reasonable cost, to sony."
By that time, there will be FAR better cards, and GTX 580s equivalent would be considered low to mid range, probably...
I actually only personally know only one person who watches NASCAR, but this game is going to sell like hot cakes no matter what. It's Gran Turismo.
"As of December 2009, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue has sold 4.95 million copies worldwide."
A demo. A $40 demo. That's just insane.
"Consoles have had tessellation in actual games for at least the last 7-8 years."
I know the 360 can do a VERY VERY VERY basic form of tesellation, but it's not used because it would take too big of a performance hit without DX11, and having such an old GPU.
In the new Dues Ex, a random guard will normally have 7,000 polygons. With teselellation... 60,000 Consoles don't do anywhere near things like that with their "tesellation" wh...

The Ferarri trailer is tied with the E3 2010 trailer as my favorite. It came at a time where there weren't really any GT5 videos at all floating around, and the trailer made me go O.O

Official site list. There *might* be new track announcements (I'm still pretty amazed at the lack of some such as Seattle and Midfield), but as of now, this is it.
"for some reason i think it will be more cars
think this is a list of cars from gt4/gt5p and some confirmed cars for gt5"
No, this is everything. Straight from the official site:

The first half is the best part, it's purely about cars being manufactured from scratch, and really shows the passion Kaz has for cars.
That My Chemical Romance song is gawd-awful though. Yuck. I really hope the US intro uses a different song, like all the other games have done.
Quick Youtube search, already reuploaded.

The GTX 275 was also the best price/performance card of that Nvidia series. The GTX 465 was just a bad card though, the GTX 460 turned out better since it was based on the improved GF104 chip.
It's initially 6.4GB, then it installs the rest when needed during gameplay.
And the install is optional.
