Games about choice are the most impressive to me. I don’t care if it’s gameplay focused or story focused when you change the dynamics of those elements. The choice and dialogue trees I have seen are stunning, I agree. A step closer to a dynamic narrative and creating your own stories in interactive entertainment. I have never played a David Cage game before, I tried the heavy rain demo but didn’t buy it. I will probably preorder just to get the free copy.
Why would this be divisive? AC: Origins and Far Cry 5 are great games and should be bought if you are into those kinds of games, on a sale if need be like you say. I am in no shortage of complaints for past games either.
I got this and the digital version. I don’t feel like dealing with Sony to get a refund. I hope my hype doesn’t ruin the game for me.
I agree but they aren’t bad for the consumer. It’s not helpful if you are looking to buy day 1 but they aren’t doing anything wrong. It doesn’t abuse the consumer in any way, I should say. As a business it’s unnecessary. Launch embargo’s might get it into enough hands to become a cult classic and spread by word of mouth even if critics don’t favor it. If the reviewers are saying it sucks a week ahead of time then how many will cancel their preorders and not even give it a chance? You are sayi...
Same. I like the old mechanics but I’m hyped and I don’t want to go into it with anybody else’s opinions in the back of my head. If I don’t like the change I want to be my own.
It’s just an unnecessary risk. Even if your game is great it’s smart to hold embargos. It could be well received or it could not, nobody knows. A week ahead of time shows incredible confidence though, they don’t feel like they are risking much and probably welcome the advertising.

Look up how Odin got his 8 legged horse. It’s just weird stuff but it’s great.

War monger you mean? Yeah Norse mythology is nothing like the marvel version. The Norse gods were serious jerks lol. The various stories are the gods screwing somebody over in one way or another. Usually each other lol. They were very humanlike in their politics compared to the Greek gods.
Hopefully it gets the same love as blood dragon. I think it looks great, it’s the first season pass I have bought since the witcher 3. I like the bonus copy of fc3 as well.

They are clearly disappointed that it doesn’t skewer segments of society or push a narrative lol. I can see why though, it is a missed opportunity if your life revolves around political activism.
Yeah but I can see it replacing the “needs to have a multiplayer content on the box.” Traditionally single player games getting a battle Royale sticker on the box. Wasted resources on SP or potentially crippled multiplayer design.
