I'm sorry to break this to you kid but Sony is definitely implementing a policy restricting the use of used games (very similar to the one adopted by MS). You don't have to believe me...we may find out in less than 2 weeks (or they may keep dodging the question until closer to the console's release).
I'm not happy about it either but that is just way the industry is headed.
Let me address some of your issues with the XBOX One:
1. Kinect must be attached to the XBOX One but you don't have to use the device unless the game requires it. If you're opposed to Kinect then don't buy the games that take advantage of the controller. You can also turn it off when its not in use. Do you really think that a multi-billion dollar company is going to risk several class action law suits just to "spy" on their consumers? Come on now, let...
Are you under the false impression that Sony is not going to implement a very similar stance on used games as MS has implied?
I can GUARANTEE you that they are.
"Gaikai BC works in a way so you don't have to pay."
Please site a source for this claim. I highly doubt that Sony, or any other company, would implement a feature like this without seeking compensation. Sony paid $380 million for Gaikai. They didn't make that investment out of the goodness of their hearts.
Let me get this straight. You're praising the PS4 for its ability to play PS3 titles through the streaming service Gaikai while lambasting the XBOX One for its lack of backwards compatibility and "always online" restrictions (which is not entirely accurate).
How exactly will PS4 deliver these PS3 titles to the consumer? Yeah, you guessed it...with a persistent online connection.
Don't be such a hypocrite.
Batteries and the power brick are where you draw the line? Really?
I'm so tired of these ridiculous arguments against the XBOX One. Some of them are valid but most are nit-picking to the 100th degree and many don't even make any sense (It's going to spy on us! You idiots can't be serious with that one).
I WANT batteries in my controllers. I get so annoyed when I want to use my PlayStation and I discover that I forgot to charge the controller. ...
You have no idea what you are talking about.
I just don't have a lot of patience with immature, ignorant, sycophants.
Like yourself for example.
Kinect focus???
Where are you people getting this impression? If I didn't come to this site I probably wouldn't even know that Kinect exists and I've owned a 360 since day one.
Kinect had absolutely zero impact on my 360 experience.
"just dreaming about the difference and what I can do with 8gb of GDDR5"
This sounds disturbingly sexual.
Anytime that I see someone address Microsoft as "M$" I immediately stop reading the comment. It's a telltale sign that their post is going to be complete biased nonsense.
"The clerk does seem like a legit source "
Yeah, retail sales associates are typically reliable sources of information in regard to the undisclosed business stratagem of major corporations. /s
"this was a GameStop employee that stated this so it does make it credible."
iGAMM3R-VIII, that was a good one. For a minute there I though that you were serious.
So, in order to establish themselves as a credible source individuals only need to provide their name?
Ok...
Lets examine YOUR "legit" sources.
1. SuperDaE - A hacker who has been accused of pirating software, breaking NDA and selling a Dev kit on eBay. A liar and a thief..so he's real reliable.
2. Adam Orth - A former MS employee who posted vague comments on his personal Twitter account regarding internet accessibility. Did he ever mention used games? No, he didn't.
3. Who?
4. David Connolly - Xing Entertainment: a company that has never ...
"until Microsoft infected it with Kinect"
I don't understand the reasoning behind the "Kinect ruined the XBOX 360" rants. What does Kinect have to do with the games that Kyosuke_Sanada mentioned? How exactly did Kinect infect the XBOX experience?
As we all know, Kinect for the 360 is an optional accessory. It's not as if device mandatorily intrudes on your core gaming sessions. I can't recall a single gaming experience in which...
It was just a joke.
I've never seen Game of Thrones so I don't get the reference.
You have to admit that the "a man" thing is getting kind of old though...
Jaqen_Hghar
Each time that I read your one of your comments and I see that you refer to yourself as "a man" I think of the stereotypical dork who claims that he has "a girlfriend".
In Canada...she's French.
In your previous comment you stated "Not being a troll here but...What if Microsoft paid or talked to these guys"
Now, you are essentially repeating that unnecessarily antagonistic statement in this comment. You're the very definition of a troll.
You're pathetic.
You think that MS changed the architecture of the next XBOX, which they have been working on for YEARS, due to a rumor that was posted on Twitter last week?
Uhm...WHAT!?!
Guldevito. Is that short for Gullible DeVito?
"Based on your theories"
It's not my theory. It's first hand information. Not everyone here is an obtuse, misinformed teenager.
