Very true. Steam and the Rift seemed like a match made in heaven. Both very independent minded and encouraged public support for the little guys. If Steam sells out, I'm done.
Palmer, you disgust me and all your financial backers.
Some developers are already balls-deep in Rift development. As I said earlier, I wonder if Steam is still on board. As a fan, I'm confused and hurt, so I'm sure the anger will come later. Then denial and acceptance. Finally converting to Islam.
Not a lot of experience though. Oculus was working on VR for years. I wonder if this will affect the relationship with Steam. They already have Rift supported games.
If I went through that every time, I would make it worth my while and actually steal something.
@Otaku,
So is Wii U. See, Nintendo put Fire Emblem on 3ds and now its coming to Wii U. See how that works?
Square Enix and Nintendo both publish the Fire Emblem series.
They did it with Fire Emblem, right? Uh, except PS3 to my knowledge.
I would much rather a FInal Fantasy Tactics 3D. I dont really care for the characters in Bravely Default. Its a great game though.
@silent
Look at the size of the PS4 and the first PS3. You dont think there is a size difference? Consoles will not get bigger. There simply isnt any love for a console that wont fit in an entertainment stand or shelf.
Consoles will just go the way of the dinosaurs: They will Evolve into something smaller and faster.
Lol @ disagrees. I guess people dont know dinosaurs didnt go extinct, but evolved into birds. Smaller and Faster.
I would say SEGA is a little gunshy after their failed consoles. They learned a hard lesson.
Steamboxes are an odd commodity. Chances are if you have a PC, you will install Steam and keep on gaming. If you are a console gamer, you may be daunted by the 11 different configurations of Steambox.
So Steambox doesnt really fit with console gamers, nor PC gamers. I hope that they do well, but its not like Valve produced a console and shipped it to market. They just basically sold the Steambox sticker to a PC maker.
I couldnt care less about a Bayonetta or Virtua Fighter port to PC. GTA V though, thats another story.
@Corny,
I was gonna say the exact same thing. Rogue Squadron is just the Arcade version of Xwing Vs Tie fighter. But you get to be the SLAVE 1 in Rogue Squadron!!
Very true. I can only do Outlast 30 mins at a time anyways. VR could be an indie machine, or shovelware haven.
Although I do want racing and flight sims for the Rift ASAP.
There have been Rift Supported games on Steam for a few months now. I would think that the the Rift would be released soon as to warrant so much developer support. I doubt those developers would have a hard time crossing over to the PS4 when the Morpheus hits shelves. If the VR thing catches fire, I dont think Sony will have to hit developers with hat in hand.
Star Wars game inspired by Batman. Could there be anything better?
I would die for a new Rogue Squadron. Xwing Vs TIE fighter was a very special game, but Rogue Squadron won my heart.
@Monkeyman,
Stop what? Saying my opinion? Thats what comments sections are for. So too bad.
On topic, Assassins creed is adult as well as Zombie U, Deus Ex and Mass Effect 3. So what? Compare that to Mario 3D, Nintendoland, Donkey Kong Freeze, Pikmin, lego undercover, etc etc that are aimed at a younger audience.
Twitter was pretty bitter last night regarding the OR sale. No, I would not say too many people are happy.
