Normally I dont give a damn about the protagonist's gender or racial profile, but I just cannot play Bayonetta. That chick just looks too dumb for me to ever want to play as her.
Bayonetta has hit the Game of the Year in many fan's hearts, but I just cannot get past her stupid tights and glasses.
So I guess sometimes it really does matter if you relate to the hero/heroine in the game.

To be fair, nobody does first party games like Nintendo. I will give them credit for that. As for chasing hardware gains, that doesnt seem like Nintendos style.
Nintendo may have stutter stepped on this gen, but the Wii was a massive commercial success. Nintendo has some tight purse strings but it has also helped them keep a massive stockpile of money for development costs.
The DS and 3DS have been monsters as well for Nintendo. I think that it will take quite a blunder to actually sink the Nintendo ship.

Fact is, if you want to get your Gf into gaming, you need a Nintendo console. Gaming with the Gf has huge benefits. Not the least is an understanding of why I play around the clock. That being said, when I am gaming on the big screen, its nice that she can sit beside me and play mario 3d on a little screen while I slaughter Nazis by the truckload.

I have the Shield Portable and it does not disappoint. Lots of horsepower in a portable package. And if you Pc game with an Nvidia card the game streaming is phenominal.

The standards they broke was the initial cost of development for such a mediocre game. I done heard they spent $500 million on this one. And for what?! GTA V had half the budget and if anything, they overdelivered.
That looks patently ridiculous. Nintendo needs to go back to a regular console with a regular controller. Fashion the console with a retro look in mind ie) Snes, Nes, N64, and give it some decent hardware. Leave the gimmicks and such behind. Nintendo thrives on nostalgia and I think that is a path they should stick to.

I wonder why they say PC gamers only sold that number "at retail"? Does that mean they only count the physical copies sold or that it has to sell for full price? I just saw COD:AW on sale during the Exploration Sale. I expected them to move a lot more units than that on Pc.
