Why sell the skin, though? You want to donate? Great, go ahead and donate your own money. Better yet, donate and give the skin for free, with some information about the foundation and have in-game link to donation page or something.
Mankind Divided is great, love the smaller open world, full of secrets and stuff to do. I wish there were a few extra side quests, though. Story DLCs were fine, but kind of short.
And i do hate Breach and hope "It's Not Dead" doesn't mean anything new related to Breach (or similar online mode, revolving around random lootboxes).
Why acquire new studio(s), if you don't use them, though?
Microsoft already owns a lot of IPs, tons of available resources (money, technology, PR, even whole console), hundreds of talented people, yet they produce new games at snail's pace.
«We’re back to making and shipping games» = 39 letters
39 is 3 (!) and 9
Because it's Gabe, we have to expect the unexpected and read from right to left, so it's 93.
Half-Life = 9 letters
«We’re back to making and shipping games» = Half-Life 3!!! /s
IMO, it really depends on what exactly you mean by «realism» and how fun that «realism» is/implemented within a game.
For instance, i would love to play RPG with «realistic» characters, meaning characters that interact with you and each other, act like human beings, have their own opinions, ideas, ideals, they can interact with each other, hate/love/help/screw with each other.
But i would not enjoy a game, where you must wake...
«In-App Purchases» is such a vague term.
What if you can buy season pass and/or DLC through the game (even some PS3 games have a "Store" that opens page in the PSN store), will it get «In-App Purchases» label? What about games like Metal Gear Survive, which requires you to pay for most basic features, like in a free to play game, that costs $40? Judging by this tweet, both will get the same label.
There's even more, games like Hori...
People tend to say, that game development costs more and more every year. Yet let's see what games are filled with microtransactions:
- Destiny 2, they reuse the engine, systems, parts of locations and some assets from Destiny and DLCs;
- Star Wars Battlefront 2, they reuse the engine, assets, systems from Star Wars Battlefront 1;
- Metal Gear Survive, they reuse engine, locations, assets, systems, sounds and so much more.
Or how about "remasters&q...
Days Gone? Yakuza 6? Death Stranding? Ghosts of Tsushima? The Last of Us 2?
Nah! It's gonna be Knack 3 BAYBEEE! Yeah, come on, Nintendo!
P. S.: JK, list of possible releases looks really impressive, though!
Wait, they want a next Survive game?! Why???
I bet next time Konami will be much more creative, with all new ways to milk every cent for every thing in a next game!
What's next? «Konami Warns Users that Metal Gear Survive is Not a Playing Service, it's Paying Service»?
The phoenix is rising from the ashes? I wonder, will they resurrect that game, «inSANE», with Guillermo Del Toro?
@timotim
"How is it any different than basic DLC that we've had in gaming on consoles since the original Xbox???"
Difference is quite clear:
- DLC you buy once and that's it, you own that piece of «content» (new quests, maps, items, you name it). If i'll create new in-game account, DLC will still be available to me.
- Microtransactions you buy constantly and with each purchase, and you get one-time use. If i'll ...
I would, actually. It's probably dirt cheap right now on Ebay or similar stores.
It's kind of a mix between adventure/detective and 3rd person action, where you fight different, interesting monsters called «folks» and «consume» their souls to use as weapons (up to 4 at a time, you can upgrade them as well, when meet certain requirements and you can also freely switch between souls in a menu).
Story is solid, locations are beautiful, battles are en...
I wonder, who owns Folklore now? Really enjoyed the game.
So, Take-Two, you're, basically, quoting Andrew Wilson, «Is this good for the player?»? We all remember how that turned out.
How about the Evolve and that DLC hell? NBA 2K18 and microtransactions hell? GTA V and no singleplayer DLC, yet constant increase of prices in the game?
Oh, and let's not forget about that famous interview with mr. Zelnick, where he said that every game from now on will have microtransactions: «We aim to have recurrent ...
Why campaign is set to "Flexible goal"? Like "We desperately need $450 000, but hey, we'll settle for any amount of money you'll give to us. And we won't have to do a damn thing.".
They say in Indiegogo campaign: "To achieve our plan, we are currently seeking a minimum of $450k – $900k". MINIMUM of $450k, so why "flexible"?
Next, they say that currently, "creditors claims totaling at $900K" and "The...
And i bet Junkrat was a Minesweeper Pro, right?
I completely agree with your points, except i think 2005 was good for EA, game-wise
I made a little list of games they published that i enjoyed (based on wikipedia's article, all the games EA published):
2005 - Battlefield 2, Black and White 2, Burnout: Revenge, Need for Speed: Most Wanted (26 games released)
2006 - Black, Need for Speed: Carbon, The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth II (not great, but enjoyable, IMO) (20 games released)
...
And blind too, imagine what fun it would be, blind fat Nathan Drake in a wheel chair scaling mountains and ancient buildings. Of course screen will always be black, but this would be so bold, so brave, so innovative! /s
I did enjoy the Mankind Divided, but i feel it's much easier than Human Revolution, now playing it on Permadeath mode ("I didn't ask for this", i believe) and no problems so far, at G.A.R.M. facility now. Feel like Remote Hacking made game too easy, no more worries about cameras, turrets, bots or drones, just hack them (which is very easy to do) and you have 30 seconds to do what you want.
And i would gladly buy the next game, if they wouldn't add anot...
