I don't think it's a disappointment if you play the performance mode, it's quite stunning really, should of just had one 60fps mode but polished the fuck out of it in my opinion.
I don't think it's the res people are complaining about, there's a clear indication that the RT mode is low Res, I've seen it myself and while that's not the be all and end all, it's just not a worthy trade.

Yeah you've got a high end 3000 series GPU.. 3080 and up you'll be okay. Just to say though even at 4k your card will struggle without DLSS. Take control for example, ultra settings at 4k with ray tracing and you're getting 30 - 40fps without DLSS.
Plus if you genuinely have a 3080ti that card on it's own is £1200 MSRP. Taking into account the CPU and ram you'd need to not be bottled necked along side the cooling and PSU you're approaching £...
Only the higher end of the 30 series GPU's could really handle RT and that's with DLSS holding them up, GPU's that cost twice as much as the full console. They were never going to do RT to a decent level, plus AMD's RT implementation is lacking even on their high end GPU's.

I get people are salty about Cyberpunk, but the amount of hate that this game is getting is crazy. You're literally talking about one of the best RPG's that still to this date after 7 years hasn't been replicated. I can understand people like different things, but some of what this game does transcends opinion. Revolutionised side quests in open worlds, the stories told and characters involved are so deep and complex that it's better than anything still to this day.

While I agree with the sentiment, I think it's due to the size of the deal. Sony play dirtier than Microsoft in the deals they make with games that used to be on Xbox and paying Devs to keep their games of Game pass. But because they're smaller they don't get as much attention

Been a recent interview withthe EU commission as someone has reached out and they have said they could pretty much keep all Bethesda IP exclusive as it wouldn't effect anything in regards to a anticompetitive nature.

It sounds like an okay game, just not what it was supposed to be. Shame really as it's one of the best looking games I've seen properly showing what these consoles can do. Hopefully it's a sign of more things to come as better games come out, we haven't seen a single game take full advantage of the systems yet 2 years in, it's crazy.

They didn't have anything to show. I would have liked to have seen more of redfall, their latest trailer looked a lot better than the first one. For a game that's supposed to be coming out in the next 6 months they're not really marketing it..
It's a shame but unless it's a big well known IP, it feels like their new IP is just gunna be sent out to die on Game pass. I'm a fan of GP, but you can't rely on 3rd parties to hold up your services.
CPU's aren't the Issue, the CPU's are actually very future proofed compared to last gen. RT is GPU based, which when RTX's cards that are twice as expensive and 3 - 4 times more powerful are struggling, it's going to be a problem on console clearly. Some RT games have shown glimpses of what RT can do, but it's child's play compared to what can be achieved on say a 4080 etc.
I think full RT implementation is something that needs to be left to next...
