I had a similar feeling while watching the rings of power, I mean it was shit anyway, but instead of turning hobbits and elves black. I think they had a massive opportunity to expand on the Hiradrim, corsairs or umbar etc etc, you know, actual representations of black/middle eastern culture. That would provide world building and add to the mythogy, instead of changing it to tick boxes.

Black panther for example, it's such a good film because of the celebration of cultur...

You say I'm being overly emotional yet in the same comment you agree with everything I've stated? You've just paid £70 or $ or whatever, you say that you're disappointed and feel like you've been led on, but me saying it's unacceptable is wrong?

Both you guys are the type of blokes to take back a girl after they've fucked your best friend, good luck in life 😂

Yeah but those same people who are doing that are experiencing higher prices anyway. They might have been paying £40 for their games but now they have to pay £50 for them even when looking around.

A price rise is a price rise across the board my friend. Me personally I tend to buy from CDkeys, I would never pay £70 for a game, that on top of console prices going up while they've been on the market for 3 years nearly just is not justifiable.

And this is the issue.. not only are video games getting more expensive, but it's also relative to everything else. Before COVID a weekly food shop for me was about £60, now it's £90. That's a 33% increase in 2 years. Not to mention other bills etc.

Luckily I get above average wage here in the UK so I can take the hit, but a lot of people can't. Gaming is a luxary yes, but it's also a working man/woman's form of entertainment. Inflating gam...

Yeah I've got a PS5 and played it on there, I don't know man, if you're enjoying it then good for you, a lot of people aren't though and for me I'm sick of unfinished games ever since I got burnt by Cyberpunk, that was supposed to be a turning point for gamers but it's just been more of the same if not worse since then.

If it wasn't a game that wasn't so dependent on timing your parries and dodges maybe it wouldn't be as bad, I like you have played games with shitty frame rates and still enjoyed it, but that's usually RPG's that don't have reaction based gameplay.

If your game is jumping between 60 and 40fps with stuttering and bad frame pacing mixed in, that effects the gameplay to a massive degree. Why do you think PC players were so pissed with the Elden ring por...

It isn't an excellent game thought is it, it's an excellent game that's borderline unplayable due to the performance issues. If you think this shit is acceptable for £70 potentially more if you got the other editions then you're part of the problem with gaming.

The way Actiblizz are going, it's clear that people are getting burnt out on their IP, WoW isn't what it was, playerbase is shrinking for CoD and overwatch 2 was an update disguised in a new game wrapping that fans despised. Maybe with the money of Microsoft they could get get to their best but evidence of their other studios isn't there to support that.

Instead Xbox should focus on getting their existing studios in order, probably hire a completely new manageme...

The problem is twofold, games are more complex yes, and they also cost more to make. The fact that they bragged about this game been made in 3 years is kinda a stupid gloat looking back now.

Devs and publishers are not willing to accept that they are going to need longer to make these games and are pushing these things out before they're ready due to greed and the necessity to please shareholders. Look at Cyberpunk 2077, they were under massive stress from their investo...

This just goes to show why I value certain YouTubers opinion over big review sites. This game in it's current state is NOT a 9/10, it's like a 6 at best. SkillUp is one of the only people who have slated the games PC performance, sub 50fps on a 4090 with no raytracing, nuts.

Another smaller YouTubers I recommend is a guy called Gaming tech, he posts HDR settings and has been diving in deeper such as performance reviews etc. He basically said that the HDR is broken o...

Yeah dude, I'd wait until Digital foundry do like a follow up review of a patch where they say the game is playable. That's what I'm doing, it's really an eye sore and if people are saying the game runs fine, my guess is they have only just got a current gen console and are not yet used to stable frame rates, I've had both consoles from pretty much day one and it's hard to give up solid 60fps once you're used to it unless it's a solid 40fps, that I can manage. ...

Why are you bringing the Xbox into this? Their PC ports tend to be pretty polished tbh, it's Sony recently that fucked that up with the Last of us.

Regardless of the platform though this shit is unacceptable, I've had to stop playing and because of the issues and with how busy life is if I get burned by a game, I very rarely have time to give it a second chance and I'm sure a lot of people are in the same boat.

1146d ago 2 agree3 disagreeView comment

It's probably depending on your tolerance for shit frame rate. With nearly every game now been 60fps or giving you options for 40fps etc I feel like I've been spoiled 😂

Also anyone who has an OLED will know this, because of the pixel response time lower frame rate content has a lot more judder than your standard LED TV's. L

Yeah I've had to drop down to 30fps on console as the performance mode both looks and plays awful. Feel a bit let down by it all. The game clearly needed more time in the oven and it would of been a solid 8 - 9/10 so far if these performance issues didn't happen, shit even at 30fps my PS5 is struggling with drops and micro stutters, it's pathetic.

1146d ago 8 agree0 disagreeView comment

Put in about 4 hours or so, the game itself is amazing, it's definitely an improvement on Fallen order from a gameplay/production value perspective. However I will say the performance issues are real and they're bad. In enclosed spaces it's pretty much a locked 60, soon as you get to the first open area the fps tanks and I'm on console (the reported best version of the game).

Regular FPS drops down to low 40's in the performance mode, I have a VRR displa...

Listen dude, I get it, I loved what Xbox was too. The memories that Halo and gears gave me along with their previous titles I don't think will be matched by any game.

However there's a point where you need to realise you're being treated like shit by the company you're defending. I own all platforms right, guess which never, EVER gets used? The Xbox series X, which is a console I love, from a hardware and software perspective it&#...

Xbox is such a small part of Xbox my guy, you're talking about a 2 trillion dollar company here. Maybe if it was Sony who relies on their gaming division to make ends meet, not Microsoft. It's a drop in the Ocean pal.

They are not leaving the UK which probably makes them more money than the Xbox brand does worldwide.

1147d ago 9 agree3 disagreeView comment

Yeah I sometimes come to the defence of Xbox in some articles that are just being outright cruel, but to even compare Sony's and Xbox's first party output is a bit stupid.

Playstation shits all over Xbox with only the one exception in their Forza series Vs Gran turismo. I prefer Forza but that changes depending on who you ask of course.

Exactly mate, horizon forbidden west was 100gb or there abouts and that was a cross gen title still, the best looking game this gen but still cross gen. The sizes are only going to balloon further with time. Shit Red dead 2 was 150gb and that's not even had a current gen patch so.
