I mean, there's also a load of Devs that say otherwise and that they love it, like gamers ourselves Devs have different preferences obviously.
It's not mandatory for 3rd party, it's optional so it's really a none issue tbh.
I mean, brilliant but where's the return on investment? I for one was most excited to see HellBlade 2, and we got a walking section and a cut scene. I'm starting to doubt this is coming out at all. The games been announced for like 3 years at this point.

It's a good game, nothing special though, think it's getting overrated due to it being a PS exclusive, still a solid 8/10 though.
Everyone I know in 2023 buys digital including me, physical media is nice, but it doesn't trump the ease of use for digital for many of us.
Just on the state in the UK with broadband especially, back then the UK had one of the worst broadband speeds in all of Europe due to its aging copper network, now it's mostly full Fibre everywhere, I get 1gbps now for £30 a month. Those speeds would have cost me hundreds back when FF15 launched.

Isn't really a choice.. it's a limitation of the hardware unfortunately. More and more we are seeing Devs falling into the same traps of pushing visual fidelity and complexity while sacrificing performance.

Just a heads up (not a dig more of a state of affairs in gaming). Performance mode for this is 720p with drops down to low 40fps. 1080p - 1440p at 30fps.
There been a big debate about FPS lately, and it looks like the standard is truly becoming 30fps again this gen, Digital foundry called it too after Jedi survivor which sucks.
Yeah it's one of those games that's super addicting, not usually a fan of turn based JRPG's, but persona just oozes style, got it's hooks in massively.
I am, all for personal preference but those 3 mentioned are in my top 15 games of all time or round about so. But that's just my opinion, hope you enjoy it regardless, just wish you could leave the fanboy stuff to the side.
