No surprise there, and also no surprise that they WILL win. Even if they weren't the best (not saying they aren't, but also not saying they are), they would win in the end... And why is that?
Simple: PlayStation is THE brandname for games.
Nintendo has lost a lot of their name thanks to the N64 and the Gamecube and now we have "the Wii". I think 60% of the buyers don't even know that the Wii is Nintendo.
Microsoft is just in their 2nd generation and unlike ...
Some people don't know the difference between a game and an engine...

It's strange people lose all logic when it comes down to the "console wars"...
It's really simple: When Sega was dying and Nintendo were feeling the backlash of their dumb decisions with the N64 Sony could be the laughing third console. But the first few years weren't that big.
But at that point Sony came at the perfect time and together with gaming becoming a thing for both kids and adults, Sony profited to catapult itself at the top. Sony's name was set.

Not that good of a game... The only good JRPG this generation so far is Lost Odyssey.
The Water Temple was hell... But I liked hell :-) Back then I was only 18, being in college and having all the time in the world to spend hours and hours on Ocarina. So in the end, of you walk around enough, you'll maken it :)
Don't think it's something we see coming. Or else why would they make such a deal out of it. Everyone knows the games we get yearly, so it should be something new or very old (new SSX?)

Didn't buy this one on 360, but might buy it for my PS3 if it should ever come out in Europe.
All this whining "list = fail" etc... A list of best games is ALWAYS subjective. For example: I wouldn't include ANY beatemup, hacknslash of FPS game. While others would make up their lists solely with that kind of games.

Except for "lifetime gamer" (30 now and gaming since the NES days) there isn't one single category that could apply to me...
Some of them totally don't apply, like hardened gamer, armchair general and stuff. But I like some arcade racers, some stealth games, lots of rpg's..But I'm also big on platformers and standard adventure games.
Two completely different games for me. And also two games which will probably eat most of my time in 2010!

The Wii for multiplayer fun with friends : Mario Kart, Sports (Resort), New Super Mario bros Wii
The 360 for the normal hardcore gaming: multiplatform titles and soms great exclusives
The PS3 for BD and for some of their exclusives that are unmissable like LBP, Uncharted, MGS and soon God Of War & Heavy Rain.
Every Zelda has to have a water temple like that or the one in OoT! :D
