It's not as "effortless" as you make it sound to hook up a PC to an HDTV and get a game up and running as smoothly as on a console.
Face it, there are console gamers and PC gamers. Playstation fans like to make it seem like there's a great deal of crossover, but it's simply not true.
Fine, as soon as those games are OFFICIALLY announced for another platform, we'll take them out of the equation. Until then, they are Xbox exclusives.

Nobody is forcing you to play old games on your Xbox One. You can play the numerous AAA & indie games announced for release in the coming year.
It's pretty sad when haters like you think it's BAD to give players MORE options.
The only double standard is by Sony fans currently making excuses for Sony going 10-12 months without a AAA title of their own.
I remember people saying Sony won E3 2009 because of Last Guardian & Agent.

If Xboxers (as you call them) are downplaying indies, they must have learned it from PS fans who spent nearly all last generation ridiculing Xboxers for including downloadable indie games in their lists of 360 exclusives. It was really unfortunate.
The goal posts have been moved equally by both sides in the Sony vs. MS "war". I remember when Xbox 360 fans were ridiculed for including downloadable indie games in their lists of exclusives.

I'm most looking forward to Forza 6. The second Forza for a console generally has the biggest improvements.
To be fair, it's perfectly acceptable to comment on a game even if you've just SEEN the majority of the content. You can get the visual impact regardless of whether you're controlling it or not, and they are commenting primarily on the visuals. If someone who never played the game was commenting on the game's controls, that would be a serious issue.
I can say that I know it's dangerous to shoot heroin - even if I've never actually used it myself.

The technological leap is nothing new. The jump from Forza 2 to Forza 3 on Xbox 360 was huge, and Forza 4 was even better. I expect nothing less than for Forza 6 to be a near perfect game.
You didn't prove him wrong at all. A few years ago Xbox 360 fans were RIDICULED MERCILESSLY for listing indie or niche titles when comparing exclusives.
Xbox 360 fans knew how good their indies were, but they were also smart enough to realize that indie games, regardless of how quality they are, simply can't compare to "impact" games when it comes to tilting the scales in favor of one console over the other.
