The openness is deceiving though. I can't go anywhere I want to. I've tried making my own path and found it blocked at times by imaginary walls. It's not jaw dropping either as claimed and certainly not the best looking game on consoles. I mean, I'm still early in the game but it's not exciting for me. It doesn't askew any of the FPS conventions. I'm not at all motivated by this faceless character and the story, which is early still doesn't pull me in.

I don't get the hype behind this game. Seriously, the gameplay is a run of the mill fps. Why the hoopla?

Tells what story? If anything Dead Space 2 could have used a survival based mode similar to Horde and Firefight; the multiplayer was terrible. Gears of War 2 and Halo Reach have 2 of the best and most successful such modes. I don't see where you're taking your conspiracy theory.

That's a quote from the article actually. Not his opinion but the reviewer's.

I still think Uncharted 2 is the best looking game this gen. Killzone 3 is kind of dark and sterile. Uncharted 2's animation, environments and overall look, is still the best this generation in my opinion. Crysis 2 has Killzone 3 beat though. It's gorgeous. I think both the PS3 and XBox 360 versions are evenly matched. I think each takes advantage of what each hardware does best resulting in minimal differences across the two versions. Crysis 2 is right behind Uncharted 2 in the conve...

Nowgamer said the same thing but I can't see a difference and really, it's difficult to see subtle differences in compressed video. I just wished everyone would wait for Digital Foundry's analysis. You can feel anyway you want but it is the most comprehensive and accurate.

I think Digital Foundry does a pretty comprehensive analysis. For those interested in comparing the two versions, just wait for their faceoff. In the meantime, if you have an interest in the game, get it for the console of your choice.

I'm trying to figure out why Nowgamer gave the XBox 360 a higher score. They're the only ones that did it. They claimed the graphics and sound were better on the XBox 360 but all the comparisons I've seen, they're the same.

@ Headquarters11

If you're a PS3 gamer, you should care. Go to Eurogamer.net and read Digital Foundry's comparison of Bulletstorm on the consoles. The problem with Crysis 2 is the engine. The engine is suppose to be a multiplatform engine. If the people who make the engine can't achieve parity what makes you think developers licensing the engine will? Almost every UE3 game comparison carry the same complaints, that tells you the problem is the engine, not the deve...

Would Call of Duty 4 still be successful if Infinity Ward had released perk, map and gun packs over a 3 year period while taking their time in making Modern Warfare 2? Of course but the Call of Duty brand would not have grown as it has. To be honest, the majority are happy with new guns and maps each year which is why they buy annual iterations but the studios responsible for the franchise have tried to give consumers more bang for their buck. They've tried to bal...

Are you guys being serious or sarcastic because I got tons of games like these in my recent games. I have a 3 K/D and over 30000 kills. I have pver 120000 kills in MW2.

Anyone can get a good game on Nuketown. Anyone.

A peripheral doesn't make a console novel, or "kiddie" or casual, it's the content. If that were the case, the perception would remain whether Move was launched when the PS3 was or when it was. I'm not trying to down Move; it works. But the majority of core gamers wont play core games that way; Move wont replace the traditional controller. You wont see core games with Move only controls because they would tank. And only a fanboy would see Kinect as a "stupid" m...

I use a TurtleBeach headset and in previous Call of Duty games, I could easily hear the footsteps of players around me. It renders the game unplayable and clearly unbalanced. I use ninja pro to offset players using Ghost/Hacker pro combinations, with the sound broken, and more players unlocking hacker pro or sprinting with lightweight/marathon pro combinations without being heard, the game loses whatever balance they were trying to achieve. With regards to the lag, I think it's more the g...

Everybody will use Ninja Pro, making the perk worthless. A perk shouldn't cancel itself out; that's not balanced. That's like if Ninja Pro and Sitrep pro were one perk. There has to be trade off; it's either you want to be completely silent or hear enemies louder, choosing one or the other should give you an advantage but there is a counter balance.

So games shouldn't be emotional experiences? You shouldn't connect with the characters and the world? So I gather for you, gaming should be solely about gameplay without a narrative to tie it all together? If that's the case, what is your motivation to finish a game other than to see it end? It doesn't sound like you're much of a gamer. Gaming has evolved to be an interactive, entertainment medium. If developers thought like you did, we'd still be playing Pong and Tetr...

You see, that's the problem though. I would gather 85% of the gamers on N4G.com finish games but they're a very small minority, the core gamer. You see the figures; Only 40% of gamers finished that game or this game and the reality is, the majority of gamers, the casual gamers who buy a game for it to be successful, get frustrated with dying over and over again and just quit. They don't finish games. Look at Enslaved, reviewers called the platforming simplistic but it's that w...

I'm not talking about financially. In terms of size, Disney, Sony and EA have too many subsidiarys for Apple to absorb. Disney and Sony have subsidiary's in other entertainment genres like film and Sony's electronics business. Absorbing those businesses will cost millions to diversify and redispurse resources. Adding those overheads will be costly. EA's value isn't monetary but the overhead of its studios. You can't look at each's networth. You have to also conside...
